I can definitly agree that I don't think they will accomplish any of their goals with suicide bombings or launching rockets however their cause is valid and they are desperate. Regardless of what superpower in the world you are, you can't just wake up one day and decide to wipe out a whole race of people. Because there are actually people in the world that won't stand for it. The other point is that Hamas, is only a small percentage of the Palistinian people and I don't agree they should all suffer because of their actions. Even if they were elected, they were elected out of desperation and the hope for a better life. We elected Bush and thats probebly the biggest crime against humanity!

You're so sweet, JP.

Their cause is valid, but lobbing rockets at Israel is only going make things worse for them.

Their best bet is to give up their idealistic, starry-eyed claims to the land occupied by Israel,

keep whatever little they have, create a lawful state where terrorism holds no sway, and find

ways to peacefully co-exist with the Jewish state.

That would be the adult thing to do. And it's the only way peace will ever come in the area.

back then, irgun said "political violence and terrorism were legitimate tools in the Jewish national struggle for the Land of Israel". but posters who said there was nothing wrong with this sing a completely different tune when hamas says the same thing. why is that again?

JP,

I believe the only thing being said here is that if the Arabs want the land, they should win it back. Whining about it doesn't help; in fact it only makes Arabs look weak.

Who is whining? Secondly, I can't see where anyone has said they arabs should win the land back. On the contrary, everyone is saying they have no rights to the land and they should just give up.

Exactly, few members are saying Arabs have no right to the land they kicked out from, it happened 60 years ago, so forget about it (I am sure, if it had happened to these people they would not forget), one even implied that Arabs have vast lands, so Palestinians can move there (Ann Coulter said the same thing on Fox News), etc.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

The adult thing to do is the let oppressor get its way? I think if peace is to come it's going to have to come from BOTH sides.

I don't think anyone will answer this ever....

They do have a big part of the West Bank and Gaza, don't they?

So your solution is for them to accept what they have now? I hardly think that is a solution, how do you even begin to create one state which is on two different sides of the country?

I think most people here obtain their views from watching the media.

Yes. They fought and they lost. It’s bad enough to lose, but it’s even worse to be a bad loser.

Yet you still have not shown WHY they are the rightful owner of the land so therefore they are an oppressor.

Military might won't bring peace. No one can guarantee they will have the military might forever. So the best way to solve this is to talk to each other, recongnize each other's existence, recognize they are same human beings, no one is inferior or superior. But saying that they have the land now, so let them keep it even with force and thinking Palestinians, Arabs have no right to the land they were kicked out from, let Arabs/Palestinians forget about about (as it happened 60 years ago) won't solve the problem.

They fought a battle and lost yet the war is still going on.

Even if Israel pulled back to 1967 borders (which is their dream the way I understand it),

they'd still have two sides of the country. That's not going to change no matter what.

They have lost, they just don't believe they have. That's what being a bad loser means.

True but they would have more land and as it is now they are so overly crowded and with their plan of having refugees come back to Palestine (which is also their goal) the amound of land they have now would never suffice.
