Just so that I'm not misunderstood, I would not hit a woman. However, I have seen several occasions where a girl attacks a guy. They do so because they have no fear of repercussions from the guy.

I also saw a guy ###### slap a girl in the parking lot of a bar when she kept punching him and daring him to hit her. After several, "I'm serious, don't touch me" type remarks and no response, she received her comeuppance. I didn't blame the guy at all.

My ex used to fly off and slap me every once in a while. One day she got pissed for god knows what reason and raised up. By this point, I knew what was coming and pushed her away. She fell to the ground and started crying like a 5 year old who just lost her dog. She started screaming at me, "don't ever put your hands on me again!" "Then don't try to slap me again."

I really felt like she had this mentality of "he's a man, he can take it." The problem is, I don't like being hit and I have a serious temper. I always refrained, but my first instinct when hit is to hit back. All it would have taken was for me to slap her back one time and my #### would have been in jail.

I heard a statistic a while back than something like 50% of men will be victims of domestic violence. However, men are highly unlikely to call the authorities. Guys don't want to look like a wimp and are fearful that a tear in her eye is all it would take for him to end up in jail.

because usually the man is stronger then the woman...

i am not saying it is ok for a woman to hit a man... I don't think anybody should hit anybody....

She would be taking unfair advantage then, if the double standard applies. Being stronger than a woman doesn't mean that a man just has to take being assualted by a woman.

I would say it's not acceptable but sometimes very understandable.

There's women outthere that will push a man's buttons to the point where he simply reacts,I have seen it and I'm sorry in my eyes,women like that are asking for it.

(If you call a man each and every name in the book,worst insults,spit in his face and so on YES he does have the right to hit you)

Other than what I have mentioned above,NO not acceptable at all.

If someone grew up in a household where their parents took out their angry frustrations on the kids, they too will be inclined to be physical when they are angry. While I think spanking a child on the bottom is appropriate under certain circumstances, a parent should never spank their child in anger. Easier said than done. If someone has difficulty expressing their anger in a productive way, they have the potential of striking someone (spouse or child) out of anger. People who say they never get angry are probably in denial of their anger. Just my two cents.
