Does anyone here use Merry Maids? I have them coming to me today to give me an estimate. My arthritis is such that I just give up. I"ve tried to do it myself but it doesn't get done so here we go.

I just don't know if I should trust them enough to clean while I"m not home? What do people do? :help:

i have a house in another state and ive used merry maids there. my neighbour said they did an excellent job cleaning. the price though, i think its outrageous, it was like 400 something to do the whole house( 2 bedrooms), in like 2 hours.

about trusting, i dont know what to tell you...my house was empty when they cleaned it.

$400 in 2 hours????? Holy ####### I'd best prep myself for THIS estimate!!! I was thinking maybe $150 for the first visit and maybe $100 every week thereafter. $400/week is outrageous!

NO WAY you'll pay 150 or 100...it was 400 to do the whole house, but i just paid 190 just to vacuum the house and clean the fridge and the counter in the kitchen and clean the floor in the bathroom. thats it. if i wanted the windows done too and other stuff (dusting etc) thats where it goes upppp :)

When I scheduled my standard cleaning it was always 2 people doing specific things like - kitchen, floors, bathrooms and dusting. no ovens or picking up the bedrooms. The whole thing was $120. When we moved out and wanted everything cleaned (a vacant house) meaning all surfaces wiped, dusted, vacuumed, etc (including the garage) it was $230.

im sorry, i meant to say 3 hours for 400, they stayed like 1 and a half - 2 hours at my house. but they're always coming like 2-3 ladies depending how much there is to clean. there's never just one lady....better to call and see what they say...just tell them whet you want cleaned and they'll tell you how much.

They wouldn't give me a quote over the phone because they said there are too many variables, like pets, etc. We'll see what they say. My mom uses a family that charges $60 for the whole shebang but I'm trying to be above-board if you get my drift. :)

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
