Mmmmm....lebanese food sounds good. There's a restaurant Joel and I want to try in Atlanta...one of those Brazilian steak houses. Fire of Brazil I think is the name. Methinks it's one of those places that you shouldn't eat for a couple days before you go. ;)

Tonight...not sure yet. Lots of leftovers, may just do that tonight.

stop rubbing it in :P .. first you talk about Alphagetti and then you talk about Cheese Whiz :P

 It's been a happy day. :D

:P

hopefully my parents are driving down in a few months.. I am going to have to send them a list of stuff to bring down... :P

I just wish there was some way they could bring down Pizza Pops :(

Seriously, are you telling me that these products cannot be purchased in the States?! I haven't moved yet, and I think my body might actually shut-down without Cheeze-Whiz?!

Dinner tonight is homemade beef stew.

Just went down to the basement again to finish up - thank heavens. Just have to wash the back stairs etc and clean up after we get a couple of things hauled away.

mmmmmmm....pecan pie. We had steak and mashed taters with sour cream and cheese melted on top...it was in the fridge and would have ruined if not cooked tonight. Rounded that off with strawberry shortcake.

Pecan pie sounds better though. :)

Mmm...those all sound so good. I had salmon with acorn squash. I was just too tired to make any veggies. I don't normally eat dessert but Karen that strawberry shortcake sounds amazing right now!

We have one of those Brazilian steakhouse places here in Tulsa, and it is fabulous fabulous fabulous! And yes, when we know we are going there for a treat (this place ain't cheap!), I basically don't eat all day. But it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!

tonight my hubby invented a low-fat sandwich wrap for me, and it was actually very tasty!

We were out shopping yesterday and I saw a steakhouse advertised as a Brazilian steakhouse as well, although I don't think it was the same name. They're good eh? What do they do different when cooking steaks? Might be something to check out.

I think I mentioned I went out to lunch last week with a neighbour and we had Gyros. They were the BEST Gyros I'd ever tasted. It was at a little hole in the wall type of deli. Excellent food!

I bought a lemon-garlic turkey breast tenderloin last night that was very very good. I love to grill tenderloins, but it wasn't nice outside and I baked it in the overn. We had twice cooked mashed potatoes with onions, cheese and chives, and a zucchini carrot veggie casserole I made up. It was excellent! I love experimenting with new things and making up my own recipes. I feel like a kid when I get to make things up...certainly they're better though than when I'd make up recipes as a kid!

Tonight is leftovers from last night.

Oh yes, I bought a Foreman Grill on Friday as well. Hoping to try it out this week. One of those Lean Mean Machines! :)

Last night we had Christine Cushing's French Onion Soup and a fancy shmancy salad. The grocery store had local strawberries on sale 2for1 so we had strawberry shortcake (with a dash of Grand Marnier) for dessert. Tonight I'm not sure, but I'm contemplating T.O_2_Fl's Curried Tilapia with Mango Salsa. But that all depends on how motivated I am to drive to the store later.

If it is like the one we go to......

You sit at the table and the waiter comes around with a various selection of meats (one at a time) that have been skewered on a long sword and roasted over flame.** They plunk down the sword, tell you what the meat is, and you say "yep I want some of that" or "nope" They then slice off a piece for you and you put it on your plate. You sit there thinking "hmm, this doesn't seem to be a lot of food", but they just seem to keep coming and coming with various cuts/preparations of beef, chicken, pork, lamb, shrimp, sausages, and our favourite, grilled pineapple, until you tell them enough. Mixed with the all you can eat buffet / salad bar (which is amazing at our restaurant) and you basically roll right out of there. It's a bit pricey, but oh so delicious! I don't know what they do in the grilling process, but oh my word, it is so good.

**This is based on how Brazilian/Argentinian cowboys (gauchos) prepare their meals while out on the range, or something like that!

mmmm, Brazilian steakhouse... yup, if you leave one of these places hungry, it's your own dang fault!!! They are pricey precisely because you can get all the meat you desire. For carnivores like myself, ooooh, what a feast. A tip I'd suggest is if you can get to one of these places for lunch (not on a weekend usually), you can get the same food for a cheaper price just because it's lunchtime.
