Not sure what we are having tonight. Hubby is sick and throwing up, so I just need food for me and the bambino. I might stop at the store and pick up a roast chicken and then have steamed veggies. I was visiting family in CT this weekend and ate like a pig!!!

My father trades morel mushrooms for meals at this amazing restaurant, so we went there on Saturday. Here is a link:

Hubby had the lobster soup, Jack's pecan crusted oysters, and elk (that was on the specials of the day menu). I had the grilled asparagus salad, flash-fired spiced beef, and wok seared shrimp. It was so deliciously yummy and a special treat. We also had a nice merlot.

On Sunday, we went to dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday and I had bbq pulled pork and ribs.

Wow, awesome trade! The menu looks so interesting. Pretty pricey as well, so I can see that this would be a treat. :)

I'm going to Costco today, and if I don't find anything there, I'm going to have some type of pasta.

I was going to mention that Friday, I took Gene out for his birthday lunch. I had a salad. It was roasted beets sliced on field greens, with goat cheese. The dressing was orange tarragon. WOW! Divine!

We ate at Ruby Tuesdays last night.. I had a coupon :) tee hee

Hubby had a surf & turf special and the lobster tail looked like it COULDN'T be legal.. Hubby said it was more the size of a crawfish than a lobster :lol:

Popcorn!

We took in an early showing of Star Trek and after the movie popcorn neither of us are hungry for real food. :bonk:

The movie was awesome by the way. Since I'm officially an alien, I forsee green skin an go-go boots this Halloween.
