Yeah... pigged out on a McDonald's 2-cheeseburger meal... LARGE size with a Diet Coke, of course. Needed comfort food. I've lost 22 lbs... one McD's meal won't kill me. And, if it does, then I deserved it for some reason.

MMM the two cheeseburger meal is my ultimate fav. They only have it at the Wal-mart McD's here... and I actually haven't been to a Wal-Mart McD's in awhile so I don't even know if they still have it.

McDonald's is like an addiction for me. If I eat it once, then I eat it again and again and again... it's my ultimate weakness!!

Congrats on the 22 pounds!!! That's amazing.

My random note of the day... I have no many going away dinner and lunches planned and I feel like I'm going to gain 20 pounds in the next 3 weeks!! Haha.

Tonight it's grilled soy burgers with corn on the cob... but I am not going to tell my husband that they're soy. They taste just like beef, the only real difference is the texture and even that is not extremely obvious.

Mmmm are they Boca burgers? I feed those to Glen and he has no clue to this day they're soy  I also make bolognese sauce with soy crumbles and he thinks he's eating ground beef too!

Deja Vu Sapphire!! The few weeks before I moved, I had too many lunch/dinner get-togethers with work people, friends, family I did gain a few LBS!! I rarely ate at home.

No, gardenburger but I have done the same thing to Mike with the soy crumbles and he has no clue either.

It's like when I feed him tofu, he loves it until he finds out its tofu. My mom made this awesome chocolate mousse with tofu for Easter, it was amazing.

He had NO idea it was a soy burger but when I told him he didn't seem to mind at all. :D

Ethan prefers soy burgers over meaty burgers so he never cares. They didn't even know that I burnt them, they gobbled them allllll up. :P

 That's awesome! Not only do they taste good, but they're much healthier than beef burgers so it works all around!

I made a chicken pot pie with the left over chicken and instead of using pastry used the quick bake buttermilk biscuits as a crust. Worked great! Joe gets leftovers now for lunch tomorrow. Fresh strawberries for dessert.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I wasn't feeling well most of yesterday. Just out of sorts, and a bit nauseated. By suppertime I was feeling a bit better. We ended up having tomato soup and grilled turkey and cheese sandwiches. Tonight I'm going to cook a small pork roast with roast potatoes and green beans.

Well I bought my Husband some Australian food, just a few things and one of them is some tomato sauce (he has been craving aussie meat pies). So I bought that Aus. tomato sauce because that compliments it of course.

I don't have the stuff to make pies, but I might make like a steak shephards pie, so he can use some sauce.

Ooh Nev and Jill .... thank you for the ideas about soy crumbles. My hubby's eating habits have drastically worsened since he moved to the US. In Vancouver, he shopped every day or two and bought meat from the butcher shop nears his house and veggies from the greengrocer. He ate really healthily there. Now, he eats a decent dinner since I am usually responsible, but his fruit and veggie consumption has drastically decreased and his junk food eating has increased :( It drives me nuts. I'll ask him what he ate for lunch, and he says .... oh a burger or a hot dog or he skips lunch and then has chips later. I hate to be a food Nazi, but I am really concerned.

On that note, dinner tonight will be fish, salad, mixed vegetables and maybe some leftover macaroni salad from our weekend cookout (minimal mayo on the mac salad, so actually not that unhealthy, but of course, blah tasting).
