quick and easy here - kielbosa sausage with sauerkraut and baked beans - one of Joe's favourite. We are out tonight so ate early - have the symphony.

My dad (really my step-dad... but more of a dad than the biological one) and I had Chicken alfredo and warm sourdough bread with dipping oil and spices. Yummmm.... I love the fact that my parents are here (well, my mom will be here late Tuesday night). "Free" food! :P

We ate out last night at Chevy's (Mexican). It was very good. We could only eat half of what they gave us, so we brought the rest home. So lunch is prepared for today. Tonight maybe rib tips and rice.

how is Chevy's?.. they have one around here but I have never been...

It's not bad Marilyn, but we have two favourite Mexican restaurants (authentic) in St. Louis here but they were too far to go to that night. Go sometime and then we can compare notes! haha

yeah we have an authentic Mexican restaurant close to us here that is awesome.. the best enchiladas and guacamole.. mmmm

I thought we had a Chevy's close by but it changed to a Bob's Big Boy...

as for dinner tonight I already have some chicken drumsticks marinating in a brown sugar, mustard marinade.... will bake them for a bit in the oven and then finish them off on the barbecue...

We went to a mexican restaurant this weekend.. and it was okay.. nothing great.. have to say that I really wasn't that impressed at all.. it's pretty well known in these parts too, and everyone at the table was raving about it.. I coulda made the same meal at home for WAAAY cheaper me thinks.

Steaks stuffed with portabello mushrooms and cheese (purchased at Aldis - they are wonderful!), asparagus, brussel sprouts and baked potatoes with sour cream. I decided we had enough without a salad:-).

Yeah... pigged out on a McDonald's 2-cheeseburger meal... LARGE size with a Diet Coke, of course. Needed comfort food. I've lost 22 lbs... one McD's meal won't kill me. And, if it does, then I deserved it for some reason. :blink:

Tonight it's grilled soy burgers with corn on the cob... but I am not going to tell my husband that they're soy. They taste just like beef, the only real difference is the texture and even that is not extremely obvious.
