You're so right, the prices are really great! I was surprised because usually organic and "healthy" foods cost more, but not at Trader Joe's! I love it!

It's also a place where the "vibe" is awesome.. everyone is super friendly and seems to really love working there... in contrast to Walmart :whistle:

I decided to make chicken teriyaki for din din tonight... I am waiting for the rice to cook so I can chow down.. I tried some of the chicken and it was YUMMY!!! mmmmm

the teriyaki sauce was super simple... I got it from the recipezaar site.. I have used it a few times...

Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

* 1/4 cup tamari soy sauce

* 1 cup water (I use beef broth)

* fresh grated ginger (about 1 tbsp or to your taste) (I didn't have fresh so I just used powder)

* 3 tablespoons brown sugar

* 1 minced garlic clove (I just used garlic powder)

* 2 tablespoons cornstarch

* 1/4 cup cold water

1. Combine 1 cup water, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and ginger in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

2. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup of cold water and add to sauce.

3. Stir constantly to allow the sauce to thicken.

4. If the sauce is too thick add a little water or soy sauce to thin.

I just fried up some chicken, onion and bell pepper and threw the sauce over it.....

I just heard my rice cooker click off... mmm chow time....
