All of the b/c pills except for the low dose Orthotricyclen made me really nauseous. I wasn't able to stay on any of them except that one for that specific reason. Apparently you get over it after a month or so, but I could never make it that long.

Sprailenes- if you don't mind my asking, is there a particular reason you're going meatless? I've been thinking about it myself, but I need the protein and plant proteins by themselves don't seem to do it for me. And I am TERRIBLE at cooking tofu! Any good vegetarian recipes you could share would be great!

Just health reasons.

I was a vegetarian for a long while until I met my husband. You can get proteins from beans, legumes and a whole bunch of other things. You just gotta make sure you do it right. I have some great vegetarian recipes at home, I'll scan some in and send them to you tonight.

Did you switch brands E? It's possible if you're on a new kind of b/c that it's got a higher dose of hormones. It's those same hormones that give women "morning sickness" when you're pregnant. That's why for me only the low dose worked. The one that I take gets gradually stronger as the month goes on. Most b/c pills are one strength for the whole month and if you switch it can take some time to get used to. That's my experience at least.

there's no real reason why.. other than I took a 3 month sabbatical from them due to how long it took me to get a Dr's appt in this town, my body must have reset itself I figure!

Last night, I had calamari as an appetizer, pad see ew with beef for my meal, and a friend and I split pieces of pumpkin pecan and coconut lime cheesecake. Yummy, but the eggnog cheesecake is still the best.

To atone, I had fish and steamed green beans for dinner tonight. I made hubby fries too and only stole a few!!!

Tonight we had green lentil, spinach, and sausage soup! It was SO yummy. We topped it with a little bit of parmesan cheese, and hubby had french bread with it. It was tasty and hearty and filling.

ok so I was a little annoyed at my hubby earlier and he says "I know what will cheer you up.. I will make dinner"

and I mockingly said, "Marilyn where's this.. Marilyn where's that?"

and he said " I know where Jack in the Box is "

so right now he is on his way to Carl's Jr to pick up dinner

I just wanted to add that he was a bit to eager to go get the food.. usually he sends me... I think he was jonesing for a cigarette

Ateam I haven't forgotten about you I am gonna still scan those recipes in!

So today is the beginning of my meatless venture. I am having perogies tonight because my original dinner plan of crispy fried tofu with a three bean salad fell through because I am just too damn tired to cook from shopping all over the place today.

Don't worry Sprailenes! There's no hurry. I would LOVE some tofu recipes though. Or maybe I just need a lesson in technique. I've tried but I can't make it taste good. YET! ~giggles~

I baked my very first carrot cake today and covered it with cream cheese frosting. It is SO good. Hubby even liked it, which means it must be good because he doesn't like my baking very much!

We just had grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner last night as we had lunch from Qdoba - first time we have eaten there and it was really very good
