The Salmon was awesome. Made it with some mini baked potatoes. ( I only call them mini b/c they were small yukon 'tato's) A lil white wine, and some flat pepernotens for dessert!

Good night indeed.

Would those biscuits be similiar to the Red Lobster ones? I worked at RL for a year and a half and those things got me through some loooooong hours with no time for meals. That and the Clam Chowder soup. I love RL's CC Soup!

Cheese-Garlic Biscuits

2 cups Original Bisquick mix

2/3 cup milk

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1. Heat oven to 450ºF.

2. Stir Bisquick mix, milk and cheese until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 9 spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Stir together butter and garlic powder; brush over warm biscuits.

**NOTE** I always use more than 1/2 cup cheese because I love them EXTRA cheesy!! I usually put a full cup of cheese!

I bought this vidalia onion and peppercorn salad dressing from beallsflorida - it is sooooooo good!!

409-9388-0591-yy-yyy.jpg

also got the keylime dressing but haven't tried it yet.

I've had vidalia onion salad dressing before, and it was the most wonderful dressing I'd had in ages. We always have some around. Never tried that brand though.

ok, hubby tells me today that the chili cheese dog casserole I made yesterday is one the best things I have made..

now on one hand that makes me happy but on the other hand, I was like, out of everything I have made you say that is one of the best?? something I just threw together using mainly canned stuff :P

Your husband is sweet Marilyn. It's so nice he's easy to please! ;)

Last night I had grilled chicken, over fettucini noodles, with a light mushroom butter cream sauce. Divine. I'm still full. I have no idea what I'm going to make tonight. I'm thinking something simple. I have some Trader Joe's Red Pepper Soup I could have, and maybe a spinach puff pastry to accompany.

I am not sure what that says about my cooking :P.. because I have made some good stuff :P it is just my hubby has simple tastes... he his just a meat and rice type of guy...

They are best fresh out of the oven!! Here are a few tips:

Substitution

Double the garlic hit by replacing the 2 tablespoons butter with garlic butter.

Variation

Cut warm biscuits horizontally in half, and fill with scrambled eggs and a slice of cheese for Cheese-Garlic Breakfast Sandwiches.

Last night we ended up having salad and quiche. I made a bacon, spinach, onion one, with swiss cheese. Made 2 and froze one for another day. It was very good. I have to pick up a few things at the store this afternoon, so I'm thinking if I see a nice piece of fish I'll buy some. Otherwise....I don't know!

Well it was me and not the breadmaker causing the 'non-rising' bread! I figured out what happened by doing a little reading, so I will post my faux pas here in case it helps someone else.

I used the same measuring spoon for the salt and the yeast - that is a no-no.

Anyway, we picked up food at pollotropical - stopped there as krikit said their wraps are one of her favorites, i had a wrap and my Husband had a dinner - my wrap was good, his ribs and chicken were not good.

Not sure what is for dinner tonight.

I am meeting the girls for dinner ... at the Thai restaurant, where else!!! I was thinking I would try to be healthy and get some steamed veggies and shrimp, but we stopped in there yesterday and my friend forced me (yeah right) to try the new eggnog cheesecake ... and it was so yummy, I want another piece!

Last night we had chicken tenders with turnip, carrot, and sweet potato (not yams) two ways. I roasted half of the vegetables, and with the other half I mashed them with a little sour cream. It was SO yummy. Who knew that carrots, sweet potatoes, and turnips could be so good mashed together? I certainly didn't. It will be something I make again though!
