tonight I am trying a new recipe called Sticky Chicken.. you coat the chicken with a mixture of flour, garlic salt, paprika and ginger and roast it on a low temperature in the oven for about an hour and then you make this sauce of brown sugar, water, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce that you bring to a boil on the stove and then pour over the chicken.. it then says to cook for about another two hours on low... I am going to check and baste it every 30 minutes though....

I second that sentiment.

Except they don't eat enough veggies. (j/k Marilyn, I just couldn't resist!)

Last night we had these asiago cheese, spinach chicken brats from Trader Joe's. Not bad, but I wouldn't buy them again. We had baked beans and toubouli with them.

I bought on Saturday one of those pork roasts from our local grocer, that have been rotisseried? Wow, supurb! No more expensive than buying a pork roast myself and very convenient. I heated it up when we had supper that evening. We had green beans, some leftover twice baked potatoes and a salad with it. Very very good!

Tonight I'm going to have a stir fry I think with that left over pork roast. Yummy.

*** I am going to say that canned beans in a casserole is absolutely gross! Ick! Has anyone looked at the sodium content of any vegetable in a can? Use fresh or frozen, and just don't tell anyone! ***

We had tbone steak, potatoes, sweet potato and salad. Sounds like a good dinner right? Well, I am sorry, but the beef here in the U.S. just doesn't cut it

Now I will say that I have not tried beef in every state in the union - so i'm just talking about the stuff we have purchased here - the flavour is just not there. I even went so far as to put Montreal smoked meat seasoning and sauteed onions and garlic on it - so that helped!

Tonight, turkey burgers, so I need to make some buns.

Trailmix - My mom lives part time in Florida and absolutely hates the beef she gets there. She also lives in CT and says she can find decent beef at times in stores there, but has such a tough time in Florida.

I think tonight I am going to make that chicken and stuffing casserole again. Hubby really liked it and it was easy. I think we will have steamed green beans with it too. See Carla, no canned green beans for me (unless I am making that once a year casserole and then I fully accept that there is nothing good about it, it is like eating junk food really). :)
