I kind of feel like spaghetti today. I think. But I do have a lot of salad fixins, so maybe salad. But it's a rainy kind of day today so comfort food sounds good. Hmm. Hotdogs and homemade french fries are sounding kind of yummy. Or maybe lasagna and caesar salad! OMG. I have no idea.

The kebabs we had last night were awesome!! I think I am going to doing something similar again tonight. I have some chicken defrosting and I will marinate those in teriyaki sauce, and throw them on a kebab stick.

We were at Gene's work picnic yesterday. It was good. Lots of good salads. I made a tabouli salad...one guy said...is that tabouli yours? I said yes...he said, "ah! the tabouli queen is here!" I later said to Gene, that even if his co-workers liked it, maybe I should bring something else to a potluck? So, we weren't that hungry at suppertime. Just cleaned my fridge out, and heated up some leftovers.

Tonight I think some rainbow trout.

I cooked pork chops - period - three little pork chops to be exact.

We ended up ordering pizza later.

We had shrimp and clam pasta in cream sauce with caesar salad. It was yummy. Then we had Jos Louis for dessert. I need to get rid of them before they expire. lol

Yes, Carla. Think of something that goes really well with "queen". (Don't go dairy. It's been done.) :hehe:

Mmmmmmmmmm sushi.

I'm thinking hotdogs and mac and cheese. Something easy. Or maybe we'll just end up eating out. We've got to go into Orlando today.

Are you going to Disney?? huh?? you know I've never been there :( My parents were cruel.

No, I did the Disney thing a bunch of times when my kids were young. There's no way you'd catch me there now. I've done my time. (And I still can't get that stupid "It's a Small World" song and frightening boat trip out of my head. Curses on my former co-worker who insisted I go on that ride! :bonk: )

Its Friday so its hot dogs and fresh cut fries. Mike and Ethan seem to like those a lot. So much so that whenever Ethan is not watching his plate, Mike steals his fries and vice versa.

I was trying to decide between mac and cheese and fresh cut fries too! (I still can't believe I've been Americanized enough to use the words 'mac and cheese'. )

I put a corned beef brisket in the crockpot this morning along with potatoes and carrots and let it simmer all day. The meat was so tender it sort of fell apart when I cut it. I served it all with sauerkraut and a Caesar salad. Now, I'm stuffed - and there's lots of left overs for lunch tomorrow.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
