I made Fajitas last night. Very good. Gene is going out for pizza for a going-away lunch for someone at his work, so he probably won't have much for supper. Maybe I'll just make up some BLT's for supper.

our new stand by meal has turned into chili dogs.. that is what we are having tonight....

last night I made this Italian chicken thing and served it over sgetti.. it was good... equal amounts tomato sauce and Italian dressing (i did about 3/4 cups of each) and oregano and I added some onion and bell pepper , throw in some chopped up chicken breast (I used about 3 chicken breasts).. throw it all in a casserole dish and bake it until chicken is cooked... and then you can mix in some Parmesan cheese..

you could also use zucchini instead of bell pepper if you want...

I'm doing a roasted beef in the slow cooker. Got some of that brocollini? Hmm, maybe it's not called that. Asperocolli? It's a cross between asparagus and broccoli.

We had slow cooked beef last night, with garlic mashed potatoes and sweet potato.

I think tonight will be a grilled cheese night!!

It's really hot here at the moment - I mean hotter than usual 'Florida hot'. They were even talking about record temps yesterday, don't know if it actually reached a record temp - but it was hot hot hot.

I feel like doing something extra special for tonight. We don't have my stepson tonight and Mel is caught up on his work- he teaches a few online courses in the summer and has been spending most of his time locked up in the computer room recording lectures and getting exams ready, etc.

We have some crab legs in the freezer and I think I will run to WholeFoods to pick up a few steaks. They have a sparkling wine there that we both really like- it's only about 7 or 8 bucks a bottle. I'll see what kind of salads they already have made up in the deli.

:wow:

Way to show restraint with take out food BH!!

One thing I have noticed about U.S. take out food, they have thought of every possible yummy combination - now the food isn't always that good, but the marketing is excellent!!

We did have grilled cheese last night, included some deli meat.

Tonight my Husband is going to pick something up on the way home, not sure what yet....i'm really partial to Boston Market chicken now though.
