When my fiance will go for an interview, they might ask that, "Have to met your fiance's parents"? to her, if she says "NO" will that be a problem...Cause we got engaged and my parents couldnt make it...Help Please

I-129f JOURNEY:

2-14-2006: I-129F Mailed Express

2-16-2006: TSC recieved it and signed

2-24-2006: NOA 1 recieved

2-27-2006: Check Cashed

5-01-2006: CASE APPROVED!!!!!! NOA2 by E-mail.

5-06-2006: NOA2 by Mail!!!!!!!

5-17-2006: NVC Recieved The Case!!!

5-19-2006: Left The NVC And Was Sent To Consulate..Mumbai, India!!!!!

5-25-2006: Consulate Recieved The Case

6-01-2006: Downloaded Packet 3 was Sent to the Consulate

6-04-2006: Packet 3 was Recieved by the Consulate.

6-08-2006: Packet 3 was recieved at home sent by Consulate

6-30-2006: Packet 4 Recieved

8-21-2006: Interview!!!!

8-21-2006: GOT THE VISA! YAY!

8-31-2006: Enters in USA..POE in Chicago, IL

9-25-2006: Getting Married!! WOOOHOOO!!

AOS JOURNEY:

10-12-2006: I-485 Filed

10-18-2006: NOA 1 Recieved

11-04-2006: Biometric Interview

11-06-2006: Case Transferred to CSC

11-09-2006: CSC Recieved the Case

12-07-2006: Registered to be Approved..

12-13-2006: APPROVED....WITHOUT the Interview!!! WOOHOOO!!!!

I was not asked if I had met my mother-in-law.

I don't think you need to worry about that. The main thing is that you have met your fiance within the last two years.

I have never heard of this being a requirment. At the interview part they are just interested in the proof that you have an ongoing relationship. Good Luck!

1/7/2004 Sent 1-129F-tried to prove hardship; many reasons

8/8/2004 Petition denied

After 214 Days of waiting

10/11/2004 Returned from Morocco even more in love.

11/15/2004 Mailed I-129F off to Nebraska

2/11/05 APPROVAL

2/14/05 EMAIL, OUR PETITION HAS BEEN APPROVED

86 Days what an awesome feeling

2/25/05 Email received from nvc, given case number

3/21/05 Email from consulate

3/31/05 Fiance finally receives his packet from the consulate

4/12/05 He had medical exam

5/10/05 INTERVIEW WAS A SUCCESS

Took 214 Days for a denial, but IN 205 days He will be HOME

6/10/05 Abdou arrives in America, what a happy day!

6/13/05 Applied for SSN

6/23/05 6 p.m. We were MARRIED; honeymoon in Gatlinburg

8/13/05 AOS and EAD paperwork mailed

8/25/05 NOAs in the mail!!! Yea!

11/25/05 - BIOMETRIC DATE

01/26/06 - AOS SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW AND HE GETS HIS FIRST JOB AT FIRST JOB INTERVIEW

02/13/06 - GREEN CARD ARRIVED

4/22/06 - Driver's License!!

11/05/2007 Filed to Lift conditions[/color]

11/07/07 - NOA1 received

12/21/07 - Biometrics completed

04/08/08 - 10 YEAR CARD APPROVED

04/14/08 - CARD IN HAND !!!!!

11/3/08 - Filed for Citizenship

11/29/08 - Biometric Appointment

02/03/09 - Citizenship Interview, HE PASSED

I never met any of Rob's family until we moved to the U.S. so I don't think you need to worry, it's not that uncommon :)

03.04.2009......Posted I-130 to U.S. Embassy

03.04.2009......Ordered Police Certificate for Visa Purposes from Local Garda Office (ordered over the phone)

03.05.2009......I-130 received at Embassy

03.06.2009......Received Police Cert

03.18.2009......I-130 Approved

09.10.2009......Medical Exam

09.23.2009......Embassy receives Notice of Readiness

10.13.2009......Received our interview date

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

11.5.2009........Visa received in post

11.7.2009........All the family flew to the US together :)

12.20.2009......Received Welcome to America letter

12.24.2009......10 year Greencard received in the mail

I have heard them ask if you know where his/her parents live but not if you have met them - especially because I visited her and not she visited me (in which case she could have met them - if they were alive. :lol:) They are more interested in if you have a relationship and know a little bit about him/her e.g. birth date, where he lives and what he does and if he was married before and has any children etc. Good Luck
