Whoah! I was right in front of fleeing bankrobbers this morning

On my way to work, while driving on the northbound 405 toward LA, I saw a few cop cars with their lights flashing zooming through the carpool lane and up ahead a couple of miles, was a helicopter encircling the area. As I drove on, I saw one cop car stopped on the right shoulder.

Then, as I was in one of the right lanes, I looked out my rear view mirror and saw a couple of cop cars approaching me with their lights on. As I moved to the left lane, I realized they were in pursuit of what looked like a Lexus Black SUV, who was driving erradically, just evading the cops. Then followed at least 10 more cop cars including 2 police SUV's. I was thinking, "why so much focus on someone evading the cops?"...then I just checked the local news site and found out it was bank robbers!

Wow. I bet that was exciting. I was on the highway in Canada a couple of years ago and passed by an armed police officer yelling and pointing a shotgun at a guy in another vehicle. Totally unheard of in Canada.

There was also another time I was driving to a Home Depot on an 8-lane major road, when all of a sudden a couple of guys come running into traffic, with other guys running after them. One of them toppled over the car in front of me and kept running. Then a police car came barrelling through. Through the entire thing I had the Elvis' remix "A Little Less Conversation" blasting on the stereo and the whole thing seemed entirely surreal. Like a music video.
