Hello everyone,

Is anyone aware of NVC putting the case on Administrative Processing before sending it off to the embassy? I called to inquire about my case today and was told that it is on AP and they have not timeframe when they will send it to the embassy. I'd heard of cases going AP after the interview but not at this level. The lady on the phone also mentioned that this is a new procedure now. I wanted to share this info with everyone here and find out if anyone else was also told that their case is going through AP at this early stage?

We have been in AP since the 11th of January. Does anyone know what this process is for? I read in another forum that the package 3 is now being mailed from NVC rather than from the consular. Is that the reason for AP??
