I never suspected him to be the drug taking type..:wacko::blink:

Then, I am guessing you haven't seen "Candy". Heath Ledger and Abby Cornish. It was frighteningly realistic.

I know I'll probably regret coming into this conversation, but...

The fact that Ledger was using either over-the-counter or prescription medication (instead of illegal drugs) speaks volumes here. Yes, every substance you put into your body can (and often does) have a side-effect; however, it's not the same thing when someone dies from accidentally having one too many Tylenol or a bad reaction to Penicillin versus doing Heroin or Cocaine.

We generally trust that OTC and prescription medications will be safe for us to use and in most cases they are. There are, of course, certain circumstances which could lead to problems arising -- such as not taking the medication as directed, allergic reactions or combining poorly with other substances. We don't know all of the details and if some of the newer reports are true that Ledger had pneumonia at the time of his death, that could be the culprit right there.

So before we all jump on the "Heather Ledger should have known better" bandwagon, let's just take a wait-and-see approach for right now. Until we have all the necessary facts surrounding his untimely death, we shouldn't make absolute statements.

This is a very good post, Deadpool. My mother was DOA at the local hospital due to an allergic reaction to prescription medication and they managed to resuscitate her. Luckily, she was at the hairdresser's and asked them to call 911 before losing consciousness. It would have been a far different story if she'd been home alone like she normally is.

I don't know who Heath Ledger is but the death of someone in the prime of their life is always tragic.

I'm not going to condemn him either way. I think he was an incredible actor. Regardless of if it was an accident or something he shouldn't have been doing in the first place, his death at such a young age is tragic. I am a firm beliver in the fact that parents should never outlive their children.

I will miss the potential he had. I feel sad for his baby as well.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Well I see the autopsy was "inconclusive" and they need to do more tests. What would that be, a toxicology test perhaps?

I've read your posts on this thread. Why are you stirring the proverbial "pot"? Will you gloat if a toxicology report comes back stating that this was a death due to OD?

He was young, good looking, talented and now tragically dead! Why be so judgemental on a weakness you perceive in him? Not well done of you, sorry.

I'll get it this weekend if they have it in. Normally they have about 4-5 copies but since he passed away the shelves will be bare

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

We'll see what the toxicology report says, but you know my prediction. And Britney Spears is probably next.
