G-325A Question

Hello. I'm the US citizen and I'm filling out the G-325A necessary for I-129F petition. The form calls for "Applicant's last address outside the United States of more than one year." Well, I lived in China when I was in high school for about 4 years, but came back to the US almost 10 years ago now. Is it necessary for me to put anything in this field? (My problem being that I'm having some trouble tracking down my old address). I lived in Japan more recently but only for ten months, so I guess that doesn't count?

I presume this question mostly relates to the beneficiary, but I don't want to do anything to risk an RFE. Thanks.

I would definately try to track down your old Chinese address. Maybe one way around having to is if you moved around a lot in China and weren't at one single address there for a year, but even then I would make mention of it.

If you were there four years surely there should be something letting you know the address. Your parents don't have any records? Maybe the school you went to retains records; at worst you can go buy a phonecard and call up your old school, ask if they can disclose where you used to live? (that is, if you still speak Chinese well enough).

Good luck.

Fill in the blanks with the information you do haven and write unknown in the spaces for the information you don't have. Surely you know the city, province, country and dates. The foreign relative also needs a G325a. In this area, the current address is most common, or just indicate same as current address.

Thanks guys. I have one place that I lived most of the time I was in China, and I have that address. I spent the first six months in a different apartment, and the last six months in a boarding house at my high school. I figure the address of the intervening 3 years ought to be good enough...?

Yeh, I think that's plenty good enough. To be honest I think if pushbrk says it's okay to just put the city/provence/region etc., whatever info you still have, then that'll suffice. He seems like...totally expert on everything xD
