hmmm, we always eat chicken of the sea and I have never found anything wrong with it.....

Yep I've been eating tuna since a little kid and I don't notice the difference between US or Canadian tuna canned brands. Tastes the same to me. And there are multiple size cans you can get too...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

I have to question your tastebuds here warlord.

You have been in the U.S. tooooo long  to make a judgement here!

I was talking about your 'standard' can. You go in to Safeway in Calgary, you have a variety of tuna, 99% of them are all in the one size. You pick it up, you take it home, you eat it and it tastes pretty lovely.

On the other hand, I am sure you can buy a gigantic can, but that is not what I was talking about.

Chicken of the sea is not the same, it is mushy, (talking about 'flaked' tuna here) when it comes in a standard small can - it is about half the size of the Canadian standard can - while the tuna taste might be ok - the texture is wrong.

I like Geisha Girl tuna here in the USA, the one packed in water. My mum used it when I was a kid and lived here and was happy to find it on the shelves still, as they had Chicken of the Sea here and it was not nice at all.

That's probably true, in fact it's been over a decade or more since I had the Canadian version of tuna. Personally after eating it since a kid I've termed it from Yummyfish to Yuckyfish as I'm personally so sick of eating it now. I don't think any can from anywhere will make me want it again. I really do need to vary my lunches rather then spending decades eating the same stupid thing day after day...

Alexander Keiths is most definitely not available in the US. Well, Columbus, Ohio anyways. Keiths was my favourite.

Come to the Canada day celebrations in DC this year... they GIVE the stuff away for FREE!

By the by, you can also ask your local liquor store to import beer for you too. I asked mine to get steam whistle and he kindly obliged. :)

We went to World Market tonight, I got a regular and a mint aero bar, they also have crunchies.

My Husband was overjoyed as they had Australian Bundaberg Ginger Beer (pop) - we also got some vegemite!

They had a lot of the Dr Oetker stuff from Canada - like lava cake etc.
