But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Ithink as it is we Cdns have it pretty easy!! You dont hear very often on VJ someone getting denied. I was able to travel to DC with ease during the process, with only a slight chance of gettign denied (in my opinion, plus being military helped)

When did we start calling Canada and the UK "white" nations? There are as many blacks, indians, asians and arabs in London as in NY I would venture to guess. What is "retarted" anyway.

They are historically white. Not a shock.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

now that i've reread - why should it be made "easier" just because we are white or speak english? That's the most retarded thing I've heard all day.

Oooh look at that. I spelled it right to begin with - looks like someone needs to learn to read.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

I didn't see it the first time...

but honestly I think "white" nations like canada and the UK and australia should not complain. Yes time apart is tough, but from what I've seen - the Middle East and Africa time wait is the WORST. Going on AR for almost no reason and then staying there for MONTHS.

You wanna feel better about your 7-8 month wait - go read the ME/Africa forum for a bit. THey will make your wait feel like a cake walk. Those poor ladies have to go through so much - plus once their fiance's and husbands get here - they have even more discrimation here in the states.

yes I am sure there is discrimintation against white immigrants too - but it's like "white privilege.." at least we can hide in our white skin - those folks are usually judged before they even open their mouths.

just my opinion

Time for Erin's STUPID question of the day. What exactly is AR? :hehe:

David & Erin [br]5962a06.jpg.png

6/19/2002- Met Online

11/10/2002- Met in person for the first time at Buffalo International Airport we spend a blissful but all too short week together.

2/23/03- David proposes on the beach in Melbourne Florida at sunrise during his second visit.

9/26/03- After much talk with USCIS we decide to go ahead and get married during David's third visit, with David planning on returning to Ireland the following week.

9/30/03- Phone USCIS to ask questions on filling out paper work and USCIS officer informs us that if David is already here he doesn't need to leave. After numerous calls to the Irish Embassy and two more calls to USCIS to confirm, we decide he will stay.

12/02/03- Petition for AOS recieved

10/8/04- EAD FINALLY arrives

11/10/2004- Our Son Colin Michael Kieran born two years to the minute after our first face to face meeting!

1/26/06- Recieved interview appointment letter.

3/09/06- AOS approved! David is a permanent resident with stamp in passport.

4/4/06- Green card arrives. We are now free to travel back to Ireland so David can see his family for the first time in more than two years.

no way - not dumb at all - see people NOT going through places like the ME don't even KNOW about AR - that is a statement!

AR = administrative review. it means sit and wait while we examine X,Y or Z and determine if we approve you or not...

for most, it's hell. It's a black hole of waiting with no concrete answers of how long you will wait and even what will happen once you are done waiting

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

I feel sorry for the citizens of Canada and Great Britain whoi have to endure this process with USCIS.

I would think it would be made easier for our close neighbors and English speaking friends.

Should it be any different for them or the same as for everyone?

I also had the same thought so you are not the only one that thinks like that. I thought to myself, Bush and Blair are supposedly the best of friends so why cant they come to an agreement between themselves that lets both the UK and US citizens come and go as they please!

Hate to burst everyones bubble, but the majority of 'travelling' criminals in the US use the UK and Canada as 'stepping stone' to getting into the USA because it is generally easier to immigrate to those countries, then once there it is easier to enter the US.

I do not think there should be any 'come and go as you please' agreement between these countries because our restrictions on immigrants are not the same. It should not be any easier for citizens of these countries to obtain immigrant visas, and they should just enjoy the relative freedom they have to travel between countries and see their love ones, with much less hassle then the others here.

Still, it's nice that someone dealing with a consulate from the Ukraine would feel sorry for someone going through Canada or the U.K. It's curious, but nice, don't you think?
