I would love to be able to watch the soaps that are on British TV like Eastenders and Neighbours etc. Does anyone have any websites that they could recommend to download them? The I-player on the bbc website is a great idea but it only works if you are in the UK alas.

Thanks!!

A quick and easy way around the BBC website is of course to use a Proxy server based in the UK. Which will give you a UK address on the internet. I've used one myself in order to access certain content blocked to the outside. In fact I just went and viewed some content on the BBC website which is normally blocked. The downside to using a proxy can be speed, if the server is slow or gets overloaded things can grind to a halt.

Go to google and search for Free UK Proxy Server! You will find many, many servers out there. The one I'm on at the minute is quite fast and I will forward you the address and port on which to connect.

Good Luck! :)

Not a problem.. #######!

Attached is of course BBC iPlayer running fine and dandy here on my computer in Florida. Remember it might take a few "proxies" if they are free before you find one that is fast. I'll send you a message with the IP and port of the one I'm currently running which I found out there in the wild for free.
