Got PAcket 3

My fiance got Packet 3 in the mail today, we prepared earlier and have the DS230 form ready. They changed the applicant statement slightly, so she is taking the one they sent her. We will probably submit it directly tomorrow at window 1, between 4 and 5.

Yes my fiance is going tomorrow, between 4-5pm. Its about an 8 hr car drive.. we prepared all the documents beforehand. I also asked her to take a list of interview dates that woudl suit us(its hard for me to fly down) so if they can accomodate the dates.. great!, if not, I will have to work some magic at work and take off. I will defintely fly down this time... cant afford not to...

I hear that they schedule dates in the beginning of the month for the following month, so worse case, its late March..

I had my congressman call them up, 2 weeks ago, and suddenly they are on top of things.. i know a few people who didnt even get packet 3 yet. I hope it helps and not hurts...

Hello Manish+Manya looks like we are in the same boat with our timelines and few others CJINDIA and RSA at Delhi embassy. I did not wait for the embassy to send me the packet three, as soon as the petition reached Delhi I had my fiancee go there and submit DS-230 no problems even they gave me a clue the interview could be in late Feb and told us to pick up the packet four in the first week of Feb. They have not announced Feb dates on their web site yet, hope we can catch the early dates.

I hope things go well for her...I know parag went last year. and his fiance was given a choice of interview dates to pick from.. so he got lucky,, i hear it is best to go to the embassy,.... any tips your fiance can give us?

Not really any tips but they were polite and accepted every thing and told us to call them back in first week feb for pocket four if not they will mail it. How did it go in your case?

Hiya,

So here is the update....

Our Case NWD# was forwarded to New Delhi Consulate on 01-10-2008.

New Delhi Consulate dispatched Packet3 for me on 01-15-2008 which I havent received yet.

So, I decided to go the the embassy with Form DS-230.

I went to Embassy yesterday at 4pm and submitted my DS-230. No Problem.

The lady at the counter said that I can expect our Packet4 with Interview date in next 3-4 weeks. She was nice and polite.

I also got to meet Cjindia's finacee :-) She had come all the way after 8 hrs drive to New Delhi to submit DS230.

There were some more people who were submitting their DS-230 Form. Some of them had not received their Packet3 and seemed to be in a similar case like us. But I didnt get to speak to them.

And after all this .... Newdelhi usembassy still shows Interview dates for Jan 2008. Am anxiously waiting for Feb 2008 list and hoping to see our case # there.

I got my application transferred to Chennai consulate. For Chennai the Feb dates are already out (by 10th of every month next months interview dates are announced). Anxiously waiting for the packet4 (Chennai doesn't have packet3) and my interview date
