Friends,

Wennie and I had out interview on January 8th and she dir great! The CO was friendly and says we passed the interview with no probelms.

However, it has been 10 business days and still no visa. I called the embassy and they said they are checking on additional items and waiting some information from the Philippines. The embassy would not tell me what they were lookin into and told me to call back in 2 weeks if we did not receive anything by then.

He said it could be a max of 6 weeks! Has anyone expirenced this or know someone who has had this issue? Wennie is due to travel in Jan 24, thought that would be pleanty of time but now that date does not look pronising.

Can someome shead some light on this?

Thanks!

Hi Mark wins...My husband and I had our k-3 visa interview 1/10/08 and have yet to receive out visa as well, they told him to pick it up on the 15th and was told he is going thur a clearance, many times they do name checks on police reports? so that could be the hold up for your visa. it dont take a real long time, just be patient thats what we are having to do as well.

That's normal coz sometimes USEM does review even if the interview went perfectly smooth. They don't know how long that would take but just be patient. If you have time, read my previous posts found in my profile. I've gone through a lot of waiting at USEM after my interview and I had to postpone my trip to the US 3 times.

If they kept the passport and the beneficiary paid the DELBROS fee then you are in good shape and you should be receiving a text from the courier any time.

Well, Wennie's visa finally arreived last week and now she is somewhere over the Pacific and will be here tomorrow! I believe they were checking that all her documents were lagit because she is 34, beautiful and single.. cant wat to see her again! In just a few short hours we will be together forever.. YES!

To all of you on this journey, my advice is do your due dilligence up front and you will have no problems. Just have to be patient which is very difficult to do but just hav faith. If it is ment to be, then all will be okay.

This site has been very helpful and want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to share.

Cheers to all and God bless you!

Mark and Wennie
