hey all ...

I filed my I-130 and I-129F together to the Chi. Lockbox on 1/15 and saw via USPS tracking that it arrived 1/17/08. By extrapolating from the notion that they were entering I-130s into the system from 1/11 on 2/6/08, I figured that maybe they would have seen mine today :)

Now the question becomes two-fold - 1) When should I expect my check to be cashed? 2) When do I expect my NOA1? (for either or both)

Actually, there are more "folds" lol ...

- Will they send back BOTH to me and screw me over because I sent both?

- Will they send back just the 129F because they can easily enter the 130 in the system (separate petition/packet in a separate envelope and clearly marked)?

MOST IMPORTANTLY - WHEN CAN I CALL IN TO (HOPEFULLY) GET A CASE # AND START TRACKING ONLINE! lol

5/24/10 : I-751 Packet sent to VSC

5/26/10 : Delivered to SAINT ALBANS VT 05479 @ 11:46am

5/27/10 : NOA1 Date (based on scanned check image)

5/28/10 : Funds withdrawn from bank account

6/04/10 : NOA1 (I-797) received, confirming above NOA1 receipt date.

7/31/10 : Biometrics letter received - Appointment date of 8/11/10!

8/11/10 : Biometrics done!

8/29/10 : GC received (sometime last week lol)! (WOW!)

Previous timeline of our Busy 2008!!

1/06 : Married my JAAN :)

1/15 : I-130 and I-129F sent to Chicago Lockbox

1/17 : Both petitions received @ Chicago

2/27 : Check cashed & I-130 petition visible on system.

2/29 : Received NOA1's! Notice Date - 2/22/08

5/01 : I-130 APPROVED!!! (But not my I-129F)

5/08 : Got Case # from NVC (received 5/7/08)

5/11 : PAID AOS Fee Online -- I-129F still pending; full speed ahead with I-130!

5/12 : Neetu emailed NVC re: DS-3032 (choice of agent)

5/13 : AOS Status now "PAID" -- AOS PRIORITY MAILED

5/16 : NVC received AOS

5/19 : DS-3032 email accepted & AOS entered in system

5/24 : IV Bill Invoiced and paid online

5/28 : IV Bill status = PAID -- DS-230 EXPRESS MAILED!

5/29 : NVC received DS-230 at 11:01 am

5/30 : DS-230 entered into system

6/03 : CASE COMPLETE - 26 DAYS AFTER NVC RECEIVED I-130

6/10 : Interview scheduled (for 7/9 originally)

6/14 : Interview letter (my copy) received.

6/16 & 6/21 : Medical

7/16 : Interview completed - APPROVED!

7/21 : Neetu picked up passport/brown packet from VFS

7/25 : POE AT EWR!!!

End of Sept: GC received!

Sorry, I am the new comer, our I-130 to Chicago was received on 1/10. One question, what kind of system can we check to find if USCIS is working on our case? I only have a mail cert. number. Thanks.

I filed originally in Oct 2007 and my application was rejected in mid January 2008 (yeah, it took that long for them to open my envelope) because I signed the I-130 on the wrong line. I resubmitted my application the following day and am now probably a January filer. Sucks to be me.

09/19/2007: Withdrew CIC application (they still hadn't processed anything)

10/01/2007: Moved back to U.S.

08/22/2008: Received RFE for Affadivit of Support and Medical

10/21/2008: Submitted I-865W in lieu of co-sponsor and medical info to NSC

11/14/2008: online case status not updated since filing of AOS in July 2008

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

You will probably sent to Vermont. East = Vermont, West = California. You can use the Mississippi River as your dividing line pretty safely.

By the way, USCIS cashed my check today for the resubmission of my I-130. I haven't received the paper NOA-1 nor does my case number appear on line yet.

This is my update:

Jan 07 2008: I-130 mailed to Chicago Lockbox

Jan 09 2008: USPS delivery confirmed

Feb 05 2008: Homeland Security cashed my check. (Bank record appeared on Feb 11)

Feb 12 2008: Received I797C Notice of Action-1 in the mail from VSC

The receipt number can not be tracked on USCIS web site. I called USCIS on Feb 15th, no record found also. USCIS agent said that it take about a month to enter the info into the system. It seems to me that they only open the I-130 to cash the check. Chicago will do the data entry in 30 days of the cashed check. Please note that although the NOA indicate a address of VSC, the post office stamp showed that it was mailed from Chicago.

Other January I-130 applicants, please let each other know about our infos and updates here!

Wish we all unite with our loved ones soon!
