I was going over the Visa pages at the Manila Embassy as well as the Interview guides in this forum.

The guide does not mention anything about the DS-230 Parts 1 and 2.

The Embassy pages have the DS-230 listed as item # 2, right under passport. This makes it seem important to me.

DS-230 Parts I and II: Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Forms. These forms are sent to applicants along with their appointment letters. Each family member applying for an immigrant visa is required to complete these forms.

When are these handed in? At the interview or at the medical? Are they needed at all?

DS-230 is not needed for K-1. you will be using the DS 156, 157 and 156k. they will be turned in at the interview.

Thanks, I have the 156 156k and 157 I also completed the 230 but I was in the middle of writing up what each form is for for Charry when I noticed I had the 230's and I didnt know who to give them too :P

Will BPI validate the 157 I provide to her when she pays or will they give her their oen validated forms?

In the instuctions I am writing I asked her to see if they will validate the ones I am sending and if they will not to copy the data to the ones they give her.

DS-230 for what? Does your embassy even know what your applying for? We had to pay $380 for our DS-230 which is the Visa Fee..

K Visas comes to the US on a Temporary Visa. So they are given DS-156, DS-157..

I realize things can be different when you are dealing with different Embassys but thought I would mention that the London Embassy packet 3 instructions do require the DS-230 Part-1 for the K-1 visa, but only the first two pages, which are to be returned to the Embassy along with the check list etc. The instructions were updated in August 2006.

So, does it mean I need to bring a DS-230 form for the interview or the CO will just return the DS-230 forms which were submited to the NVC earlier?
