Nothing is quite like tooth and ear pain. Rey took a massage class a long time ago, and he said they were the only places with no massage point on the body to help the pain. Bummer.

The kidney stone I had last year was definitely the worst pain I've ever had. I LOVED the doctor who gave me drugs strong enough to alleviate that pain! It was worse than childbirth and at least after childbirth, you have a baby! After all that pain all I got was a little rock!! Oh.. and its also SO nice knowing there are MORE in there, so I might have to go through that pain again at some point in the future.

I second that gallbladder attack pain. It's pretty bad when I was making myself throw up because it temporarily made me feel better. Having it taken out was a piece of cake compared to that.

Runner up for me was when I was able to pop my kneecap out and back into position. I could never predict when it would happen, and it would sound like a sweatshirt ripping every time. Was SO glad when I got that fixed.

*hugs to you Marilyn* (F)

Had a finger smashed in the hinge side of a heavy door in first or second grade, and another one in a car door around the same time. One of those times resulted in the tip of my finger turning black for a while.

In junior high P.E. class, a sociopathic classmate intentionally hit a raquet ball at my face at close range, smashing it into my eye. There was a positive result though; I got escorted to the nurse's office by two cute co-eds

Once I was bicycling late at night, and I hit a pothole. I didn't have a good grip on the handle bars, so I lost control and went flying, but my legs were tangled in the bicycle frame. I skidded for about 15 feet, ending up in the gutter. It was several minutes before I could move and get up and back on the bike; I still had to bicycle 20 minutes to get home. My knee had several layers of skin scraped off, and took weeks to heal.

About 10 years ago, a had a sebaceaous cyst over my shoulder blade. It had been there for years with no problem, but it suddenly got infected and ballooned up. The slightest pressure created searing pain. I went to the doctor to have it dealt with, and I found out that my doctor had trained in the Marquis de Sade school of medicine....he squeezed the cyst violently and without anesthetic :help: I made him stop, and I went to an urgent care doctor to finish the job.

While hiking along a creek trail in the Santa Ana mountains in 2005, I was crossing the creek on a fallen log. When I stepped on the far end, it shifted, and I fell into the water. My left palm hit a rock as I fell, and my fingers were bent back. I couldn't make a fist or remove my wedding ring for months after that due to the swelling.

I had an allergic reaction to the general anesthesia for my wisdom tooth extraction (they had to partially break my lower jaw to get at them) and was eventually hospitalised five days later for severe dehydration; in that time I had dry socket in three of the four incisions...because of the severe nausea from the allergic reaction, I was unable to take any painkillers or antibiotics, drink any fluids, eat anything, or sleep. When the oral surgeon came in to put the first medication (small pieces of cotton soaked in something...I never asked what it was), I had just fallen asleep after being given two doses of demarol (sp). When he put the packing into the incision, I sat bolt upsright and started screaming blue murder...

Thank goodness that wisdom teeth DON'T grow back!!!

i cant decide if an absessed tooth or constipation after my gall bladder surgery was worse. i remember them both being soooo terrible. the gall bladder attacts were mild compared to the constipation. i fell asleep and woke up with pain from abdomen to neck and pouring sweat (im not a sweating type of person either) i felt like i was having a heart attack but it was only constipation. man did that hurt.
