Huh? Oh wait I get it. She don't want to take the name in vain. i was wondering if I missed something cause I know she spell it at other times. I thought that VJ had that listed as a bad word.lol!! Cause I know I seen movies where they beep out the word 'God' and not the 'damn' I never understood that one. maybe its about taking the name in vain too?

...whenever I remember I put a dash in for the 'o'. Because I am typically using it in vain!! I learned it from my 11th grade Jewish social studies teacher...she use to do it ALL the time. I asked why and she said that the same thing Kimmy said!

Hubby dosen't talk to any of his family for very long. After a few min it's like mi no have no credit I jus giggle and think, they must have wanted some money. They always want money....It keeps our phone bills low.

Looking at this thread I count my lucky stars that I had a plan that let me call the USA for free from home....I used to speak to my husband for a MINIMUM of FOUR HOURS a DAY!!!

I still bought phonecards and used my work phone to call him when I wasn't home....

Now I'm here I use a Sprint card to phone the UK, 300 minutes for $10 which isn't bad for me....I guess there are probably cheaper ways to call out there, just too lazy to look at them....Then again, once phonecard lasts me about a month!

When I first went from Jamaica to the UK, the phone bill came to £600 (about $1200!), this was in 1994.....My grandparents nearly died!!!

McKoy bought a digicel card for $1000 today for 16 hours-- that is not enough! So he went back, bought another chip and another card-- so we have 32 hours total (which still isn't enough, but is much better!) C&W is trying to sell 4 hours to call America and 4 hours of Jamaican calling for $1000.

Good luck on a new month of calling!

I thought digicel was doing some promotion for $999 for unlimited calls to the US, Canada and UK...may I was reading it wrong.

They had it listed as unlimited on the commercial... which got everyone excited! But in actuality it is only 16 hours (no where near unlimited!) But hey, it's better than nothing!

I don't know if this helps anyone, but my fiance always calls using a mega phone. he buys a phone card once and month and uses it that way. Before he was using digicel which cost absolutely WAY too much

My wife (Jamaican) has B-mobile and she said that they are changing the plans (she has a plan that allows her to call USA unlimited for about $1400JA. She said that they are doing away with that plan. Has anyone else experinced this? And what other plans are out there?

Beware of the "unlimited" plans. My fiance just signed on with Digicel's "Unlimited" international plan for $999 ja, except that it is really only 1000 minutes per month.
