airline ticket copies...necessary?

I recently returned stateside after spending a year in Chile. Now I am working on the paperwork for my fiancee to come here. My question is do I really need airline tickets? I don't have them anymore. I guess I could call the airlines to try and get copies. I do have photos and of course my passport stamps. I just wonder if the tickets are a necessity.

They're not a necessity but they help as proof of ongoing relationship if you have them. Try to gather as much evidence as possible though for your I-129F but MAINLY for the interview.

No worries, my husband and I tossed the tickets away since we did not know we'd need them for the paperwork. All I used as proofs were the visas and stamps in my passports, some pictures, proof that my husband was stationed in japan and proof that i was studying there when we met.

I have kept every thing from my trips to visit Nick. LOL He does the same. We are very sentimental people!

They aren't necessary at all but they do help I'd imagine.

If you have stamps in your passport, you are good to go.

Best of luck and Congratulations!!!

I was packing a box that I am sending ahead of time, containing clothes and electronic gadgets and stuff like that.

During my packing and sorting and such, I found some of my old ticket stubs that I thought I had thrown away, and all I could do was smile ... lol

It hit me somewhere, I just couldn't stop smiling when I found them...

I also printed my orders for the airline tickets (receipets or however you spell that, its an annoying word to spell :P) so I have those as a backup that proves that they were indeed paid for.

Just a small question regarding evidence. Will about 30+ photos be enough to state that I have been in America with my fiance lol.

It'll definitely be enough (provided they show the two of you together) but just know that photos are considered secondary evidence. Primary is passport stamps and boarding passes. In this day and age where anyone can be photoshopped to be anywhere and with anyone, photos don't mean a lot evidence-wise, even when the couple is holding up a newspaper with the date on it or something.

30 photos is overkill, 4-5 is all you need. Its not as important as boarding pass stubs and passport stamps.

What primary evidence do you have of meeting in person in the past two years? Passport stamps, visas, boarding passes, tickets etc. are primary evidence. If you have any, that's enough. If you don't, you'll need to find some. Pictures are not a substitute.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

See I took my comment out because I thought KimS was talking about for her petition, but then I saw that they're almost done on their timeline. Kim, are you talking about what you need for the interview?

If so more photos are great and the whole photo album never hurts, why not, unless it's an inconvenience to you. Meant to take to the interview all the originals from the k1 packet plus any evidence you have of the ongoing relationship since you first sent the k1 in.

I know what you mean. I kept everything- airline ticket, boarding pass, cruise stateroom keys, hotels room key, cable car tickets, zoo tickets, etc. Like you, I am very sentimental too and I have a box with the label "Mel's Stuff. Do not throw anything out!" Meant to do a scrap book but never have time as we always have things to do when we are together. Time seems to be flying whenever we are together. These things remind us of all the good times we had!
