File in Cairo or in the US?

Hey everyone! I need some help. Would you say it's wiser to try filing K-3 directly in the Cairo consulate or to go back to the US and do it there? I've been living in Cairo for 6 months with my husband, we had a civil marriage in November 2007. Now we will either begin the K-3 process or the CR-1 process. I am not sure which one is the best option, so I need some advice from my wonderful Egyptian and American counterparts in the forum ;-). Also, I was planning to go home in March and finish the process in the US after I mail the I-130 from Cairo at the end of January. Would it be faster if I prolonged my stay here and filed here directly? Need a little clarity, cause you know the people in the embassy, they aren't always the most helpful people, nor friendly at that! Thanks a million for your posts.

p.s.- if you know anyone that is having trouble with getting a marriage affidavit in the embassy, I can help out, just let me know. They seem a little "frustrated" in the embassy regarding marriage affidavit approvals ;-) (at least that was three months ago).

K-Visas can only be filed for to the USCIS service center in the USA. For DCF you file I-130 for a CR-1 visa, you cannot file I-129F at a consulate for a K-Visa.

DCF is much faster than K-Visas and CR-1 visas when filed in the USA.
