I work in a building full of union workers. While the union bosses tell them to vote for Hillary almost to a man they say they would stay home if they had to vote for Hillary. To be honest I haven't found anyone that thinks she should be president. And I disagree with Steven about Rudy being the only one that can beat Hillary. McCain is polling very well against her.

Please clarify, this makes no sense.

The union locals have been encouraging their people to vote for Clinton. The guys I talk to say to hell with what the union says, they will not vote for her. They also are telling me that if Hillary wins the primary they would stay home rather than vote for her. This is only based on the 20 -30 union guys I talk to at work.

And those (20-30) union (GUYS) you know - are they the ones who won't vote for Hillary?

Hillary won 7 out of the 9 at-large precincts in Nevada. You know - where all the culinary workers voted? Their union endorsed Obama. ;)

Is everything men vs women to you?

Oboma got more delegates from Nevada. How did that happen?

Gary, on the off chance my candidate wins, I don't think I can take 4 years of you misspelling his name. :P FYI, It's ObAma with an "a."

---crazy spelling and grammar nazi

Sorry. Spelling was never my strong point. And I think your guy has a better chance than you think.

I hope so. I'd vote for the guy if he was the nominee (too bad NJ won't let me vote in the primaries since i'm a registered independent). Even though policy-wise I suspect we'd disagree on a lot, I'd still vote for him... I am not sure why.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Well, you said 'guys' in your post. Hillary has a lot of women supporters. I was just asking if the 'I haven't found anyone that thinks she should be president' was those same guys. Or all guys for that matter. Ever asked any women about it? I'm betting no.

Caucus (Closed)

33 delegates at stake

On Jan. 19, party caucuses meet in each precinct to choose delegates to county conventions. The delegates selected are not bound to any candidate. At the county conventions on Feb. 23, delegates to the state convention are chosen. They are not bound to any candidate. The state convention is April 18-20, during which delegates choose 25 of the 33 delegates to the national convention. Sixteen of the 25 delegates are allocated proportionally to presidential candidates based on the support for the candidates in each of the state’s three Congressional districts. Nine delegates are allocated to candidates based on the support among all of the delegates attending the convention. The remaining eight unpledged delegates are chosen from party leaders.

In reality 2 of those "guys" were women. And they can't stand her either. Guys is a generic term if you hadn't noticed. And your a day late with the correction of my spelling but thank you anyway.

A day late? Alex corrected you a few minutes earlier.

OK, so 2 women & 18-28 men you know hate Hillary. These same people will stay home rather than vote for her, which means they have no vote, nor will they change anything in their state.

You have trouble with expressions don't you?

And yeah, your right. Those are the only 30 people in America that do not like Hillary.

Gary, my point was you said you haven't met anyone who wants her to be Prez. I was wondering where else these people were?

Look around Dev. How many here do you see supporting her? You seem to be quite alone in your support of Hillary at least as far as VJ is concerned. But go ahead, someone has to back a looser like Hillary. You and her seem made for each other.

I have a life outside VJ where there are plenty of supporters. She's wining delegates & primaries/caucuses Gary, open your eyes.

Name calling truly cheapens your point - didn't we go thru this before?

There you go again with the name calling #######. I didn't call you a name, I called Hillary a looser. But seriously, I hope Clinton wins the nomination. She is going to be much easier to beat than OBAMA. You need to open your eyes. Even the most liberal types hate her. For example there is this little blog from the Daily Kos. And this isn't some isolated thing either, the net is full of lefties that think she is a bad idea.

HILLARY CLINTON WILL BE THE 2008 MICHAEL DUKAKIS

by BlueStateLiberal

Sun Jan 20, 2008 at 02:11:04 PM PST

John McCain will be the next president if.....Hillary wins the democratic nomination and i have no doubt about this...I just hope democrats all across this nation wake up and realize that MCcain is by far her worse match up.

HILLARY WILL BE THE 2008 MICHEAL DUKAKUS

* BlueStateLiberal's diary :: ::

*

What McCain has that Hillary doesn't is cross over appeal....If Hillary were to win the nomination , she would have to fight MCcain for those voters and i doubt she'd be able to do so with her high negatives that are around 45%-50% depending on what poll you look at.

Hillary's appeal is strong among democrats and this is one of the main reason she's a heavy favorite to win the nomination , but if/once she does that , all bets will be off the table with her.

I just don't understand why democrats are willing to shove her down our throats when we have 2 other candidates that are more electable then her...Now , all we can hope for is sweating out a very tough win and we can forget about picking up a lot of house/senate seats.

Anyone believe we will be able to win the senate seat in Texas??...Does anyone really think we can beat Cornyn in Texas with Hillary Clinton on top of the ticket??

Does anyone think we will be able to keep those 2 house seat in Georgia that we barely held by a slight majority on the strong 2006 election democratic wave?...Those 2 congressmen are seating on conservative district and there's no way they survive with Hillary Clinton on top of the ticket....Both of them can pretty much pack their bag because they will not have a job in DC in 2009.

What about the guy who won the Tom Delay's old seat..Do you really think this guy will be coming back in 2009 with Clinton heading the ticket??...This guy is a goner and he knows it.

Bonilla is running again if Clinton tops our democratic ticket and you better be ready for his return.

All the gains we made in 2006 will be basically wiped out because Hillary Clinton says it's her turn to be president and Democrats are fools for handing it to her.

I'm already on record saying i just can't vote for her and i'm pretty sure i'm not the only democrat who feels this way

I will also predict a depressed African American vote after/if Obama losses the nomination and this would surely equal to lower turn out....I believe many black voters will blame an Obama defeat on the Clinton racist smear and if a few % don't vote , this could have very negative effect on Hillary's chances of winning the general election.

Just think about what it would mean if we get a slight black-vote lower turn out in states like Ohio , Florida , Pennsylvania....

I've heard the Clinton said they expect a large block of Hispanic voters to vote democrat , but MCcain has strong name recognition among Hispanic and i doubt Hillary would be able to crush him among Hispanics.

I dont think Hillary can run against MCcain on issues because he neutralizes whatever experience and policy wonkiness she has + he's much more likeable then she is...Which leads me to believe the way the Clinton will run against him is by attacking him and trying to swift boat him , but this is not a democratic primary where the Clinton has huge influence among democrats...

Clinton will have "for the most part" , the majority of democrats on board and i strongly doubt a negative campaigning inside the general electorate will work against MCcain...MCcain is extremely popular among indies and those voters will be the KING-MAKERS....This is why MCcain is such an horrible match up against Hillary.

Here's my million dollar question:

If you think Hillary can beat MCcain , can you please tell me how she will make that happen...Maybe you can post here and explain to me her game-plan against MCcain.
