Hi everyone,

Im new here. I've been reading almost every topic in this forum. First I want to say thank you to everyone. All your information very helpful. I wish I found this website long time ago.

Anyway I still concern about my status...I have some question for all of you, Please advice and thanks for advance. Sorry if the question been asked before.

Here is my situation;

My GC will expried on March 16, 2008. I suppose to send out I-751 last month (90 days) but I found out that I need at least two affidavits to prove our relationship. Due to xmas and holiday, I had to wait for over a month to recieved two affidavits from friends. Now I have two affidavits with me but one of affidavit spell my name wrong..>sign!< Now I have to ask someone close to write one more affidavit for me.

Question..Can parents write an affidavit for us? Should I still send the one that spell my name wrong out? For exp..my name is Karen ..in affidavit wrote Thekaren (I guess he wrote it by my email The....@hotmail.com)

Im planning to send out everything by next tuesday since monday is holiday.

Question: Express mail or piority mail? I might send it out by tomorrow if I can find one usps open.

I also have a plan to travell outside USA in April for 2 weeks alone. My application will be send to CSC. I haven't seen many CSC timeline in this forum..

Question: Will I get NOA (extend 1 year for travel and work) in time?? Just in case, I don't get NOA...How to get a stamp on passport? Where/how to make an appointment for that?

One more question about a copy of I-551, do I need to sign on the copy?

Sorry if my questions sounds stupid or been ask before. Im so despress right now. I really want to take this trip to visit my family. I try to get thing done as fast as possible but the more I want it fast, it seem slow to me :(

Thank you everyone..

just send in the one affidavit... you don't really need to send them in at all unless you don't have a lot of other evidence but I think one should be fine...

you can file anywhere between 90 days and the day the card expires.....

you should get the NOA letter..CSC is pretty quick with that but if you don't get it you can get the I-551 stamp.. you need to make an info-pass appointment to get the stamp...

The instructions specifically ask for a minimum of two affidavits if you choose to send them.

My aunt did one of our affidavits. Her name actually showed up two different ways in the affidavit. Even with the error, we didn't have any problems.
