That is so admirable Ashley! You are a true friend to this woman and I am sure she is very appreciative. Either way if you will become the baby's parents or just as a supportive family member...that baby is very lucky to have someone like you and Tacho in its lives.

take care!

I am sorry I haven't posted in awhile.I have been out of sorts and basically I feel like such an idiot.

My marriage has ended and I have been depressed and angry at myself because I should have known because I sensed a change in him way back but I thought that it was just this immigration stuff that had him so distant towards me.But since he came home he has trested me like a puta slave.I was getting by on 3-4 hours of sleep because he had me doing stuff around the house and for him at all sorts of times.Like making him coffee and something to eat at 2-3 a.m.Cleanong the bathroom after someone else used it because he didn't want any germs.Hey on Easter Sunday I cleaned the bathroom 3 times while everyone else celebrated and on Mothers Day I mowed the whole yard because according to him it is my house not his.Oh and I forgot after raising Joshua since he was born by myself I am a bad mother!

Nothing I ever did was right according to him.

After getting up with Joshua at 4 a.m. one day and doing all the housework and the yard work and making him homemade tortillas, doing the laundry I asked him nicely if he would give Joshua a bath for me and he said no that it was my job,so I did and after getting Joshua to sleep and doing the dishes I ended up going to bed at 1:15 a.m. and then he wanted sex.

I tried to be patient with him ,one day I asked him why he never held me or kissed me he told me that "A las putas no se les hase eso"(You don't do that to whores")

He told me that all I was to him was a ####### that ,that's why he came to me-to make me his ####### .

But now he wants Joshua. He says he has more of a right to him and that I will not be a good mother to him.

I can't believe all this is happening to me.After spending 5-6 thousand dollars on his immig.stuff he treated me like I owed him!!

Now I am in a hole big time all because I was so stupid.I believed in him---

I am about to lose my only vehicle and all my bills are one-two months behind!

I am so ashamed of myself ....My heart aches so much because I love him but I have filed for divorce already and I know that I will never take him back.He got what he wanted out of me but he will NEVER take Joshua.

He called me the other day and wanted to come back so I had to change my number.

I asked my atty what to do and he said that he could only stay here in U.S. 2 years thats when the visa expires after that he is illegally here.

Thank goodness I waited to send in for the CR-1.

The only downside is that we are still legally binded to him because my sister and her husband signed the co-sponsor form.God how stupid am I?

Aside from the fact that I feel stupid, dumb, lonely ,depressed angry, mad, sad I am doing ok .I will be ok ...I have to be for my own sanity and for Joshua.

So I apologize for not posting ..I have had my head stuck in the sand.

I hope you all are doing better.

Damn, Marta what's his phone number? I have a few things I would LOVE to tell him. Most of them are inappropriate for me to post on this forum...I'm sorry this has happened to you. I have to give you a lot of credit for handling yourself so well throughout it all (I probably would done something to land myself in jail). Your son is BLESSED to have you as a mom, and you will get through this even if it's difficult right now. Just forget this pinche pedazo de nada-you're soooo much better off without him.

Don't let the sunshine spoil your rain...just stand up and COMPLAIN!

Marta: Melissa took the words right out of my mouth. You are a wonderful mother just for getting your child away from someone like that. He certainly doesn't need to grow up with that kind of influence in his life. Stay strong and know that we are always here for you no matter what. Good luck!

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Marta…I am sorry to hear everything you have been through but you are better off without him! You deserve respect and love…not to be treated the way you were. I am so happy you have filed for divorce and happy that soon he won’t be able to be here legally but while he IS here legally…you might want to check into getting child support. Take him to the cleaners Marta. You deserve the best.

And finally, NONE OF THIS IS YOUR FAULT. You entered the marriage and the immigration process thinking a certain way and it is not your fault that he changed who he was. Don’t accept his wrongdoings as your fault or something you could have changed or seen. Sh*t happens and we learn from it. You will become a stronger person moving on with your son and thankfully little Joshua won’t learn to be a man from your ex. You are a good mom, Marta. Think of you and your son. If you need to move or sell a vehicle, you can do it. So what if you will live in a smaller place or have not such a nice car for a while…you will be the winner because you will have done it yourself!

Please take care and keep in touch. We all care about you. (F)

Marta: Since I am #3 responding to your message then I can tell you that I agree with both Melissa and Charity. You are doing a wonderful job with Joshua, a judge would be out of their mind to give custody to his father. And while I believe that we should be there for our husbands at all times, it is a differnt kind of "there", not the kind that makes you scrub out the bathroom or get up to cook for them at 2am. You and Joshua deserve better. Joshua is being affected by this, so yes you getting out of this situation is probably the best thing for both of you.

No way will any daughter of mine end up being a slave and if I have a boy he will be the kind of boy that you want your daughters to marry. I don't want my son raised like Alex was, thinking his mother had to do everything for him. I believe in raising children to respect, but also not to be disrespected. I can not believe that he has been treating you that way. I hope that he does not find a way to adjust status himself. Can you contact USCIS to get yourself and your family removed as sponsors from his applications?

Good luck and remember that you can always come out here, I know that you can always count on our group to support you when you need it. They have always been there for me. :luv:

Marta, you may-although I'm not certain, so check on this-be relieved of your obligations as sponsor once you have divorced.

No way (unfortunately). It says very clearly on the I-864 that divorce does NOT resolve the obligation.

That said, Marta, I'm very sorry to hear about your situation, and I do hope things improve for you. *hug*

Good Morning Everyone. I know it is only Tuesday, but I believe we can all make it to the end of the week. I am trying very hard to keep a positive attitude. The only thing that is helping me is the Holiday on Monday  , so at least next week will only be a 4 day week.

Come out and play......

Benita: We don't get Memorial Day here. They give it to us at another time of the year. So I have a whole week next week. Although, I guess I shouldn't complain since I'm off Thurs. and Fri. of this week. I hope things are going better for you. Maybe some others will come out and play soon.

Have a great day everyone! :D
