We filed for my wife on May 18th , 2007. And she got a receipt saying her check was cashed and also she got her paper for biometrics and she had it done sometime in June , and she has an extension letter for 1 year. We still have not heard anything. for the greencard. If they needed anything I am sure they would have contacted us , am I right? We have a child in our marriage , and we have sent all other documents . Is it common that it is taking this much time? If we do not get the greencard until 07/25/2008( her extension ends this time)can she immediately apply for the citizenship? we are so confused. What do you think we should do?all help is greatly appreciated

I applied on May 2nd, 2007 and I just got my approval.

Sometimes there can be delays, but I think you should hear from them soon. I would suggest you call them.

I called them consistently.
