Hello People,

I was provided an interview date in Baltimore on a day that my wife is out of the country on her Advance Parole.

I sent the letter in with a cover letter, requesting a new date and to cancel the existing one, as well as explaining the rerason behind the cancellation.

I received the delivery confirmation from the post office, but how do I know that the interview has been cancelled, and when the will schedule a new one. Do they send any type of documentation?

Any help would be great

David

wow, we have already recieved our Biometrics appointments. It is only 2 1/2 weeks away.

It seems to be moving rather quickly.

This is great.

They would send you a letter rescheduling but that can take months. Not sure if they'd send out a cancellation letter since the cancellation came from you. And people have cancelled interviews/and or received letters cancelling their appointment and have been denied for not showing up for their interview. Cancelling the interview isn't recommended, but good luck. Hope it works out.

If I was you, I would go on the interview date scheduled just in case. Take everything you have with you showing that you have requested a reschedule as your wife is out of the country.

The biggest problem is the paper trail and whether or not your request will get logged in in time. Who knows what they do with all that paperwork. Just stay proactive on your case.
