Well, I'm a looser at home...I pay the cable company $30 a month for a slower connection because they charge $50 a month for high speed.

^^^^ isn't this already a form of what you're talking about anyway? Higher prices for high speed, or as offered by our ISP now 'extreme speed'.

So basically they are already saying if you want to be downloading you need to pay more - just that it's a flat rate.

This just sounds like a cash grab to me.

This should have the cable companies shaking in their shoes:

I have Sprint and I travel extensively. I will give them a 90 out of 100 overall. My downloads are extremely fast in most areas. I pay $60.00 a month and for me it is worth every penny of it. The review says they limit many things, but I haven't had a problem in most areas. Yahoo Messenger works as well as it does with WiFi connections. It looks like Verizon is offering MB for $30.00. At home Comcast was wanting 57.00 a month form in home BB.

Sprints customer service is horrible, but most of my issues have been billing related and that was mainly with my phone. I upgraded from a slot card to a usb and it was supposed to be free. On this months bill they tried to charge me for it and I balked. They have adjusted it and now it is wait and see until next months bill. If I were using it at home I would suggest trying it out first.

There is no doubt about it though: MOBILE BROADBAND ROCKS!

Yep. Funny thing is the data rate speeds fluctuate anyway, so even when paying the extra $20 a month, they cannot guarantee optimum speed if there's a lot of traffic. It's like putting a governor on your car that keeps it from going above a certain speed limit. It doesn't mean you necessary go any faster if there is gridlock anyway.
