Is this right? On the Interview Packet I received yesterday.. Upon reading it.. I don't see no Medical Date..

Just the Interview date..

Does that mean she can go to her Medical whenever she wants?

Also can she use my copy for her Medical? I can fax/email this Packet to her?

The medical is usually a week before the interview. . . to be sure about the medical schedule do call the Dept of State here in the US - 202-663-1225, press 1, press 0, press 0 . . be ready with your MNL case #.

Hope this helps.

I feel so screwed... Another Problem..

So ok.. What I submitted to NVC for my Affidavit of Support I-864 was my 2004, 2005, and 2006.. Which my 2006 was above poverty line. That is why I didn't need a co-sponsor.

Now that I have an Interview on Feb 20. Do I need to show 2007 ITR also... I am afraid they might ask me for a co-sponsor and put my wife on AR.. unsure.gif

I didn't make that much last year.. I am $600 short of the poverty line level..

I was thinking of not mentioning 2007 ITR since I didn't submit that for my I-864 plus W2 for 2007 are just being processed.. I was just lucky to get mine early, but bad luck to see that I didn't make much last year. sad.gif

What should I do?

UPDATE: As I was reading my wife's Packet 4 (Interview Packet) I saw this.. :(

"If sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa interview."

As far as I know, if your 3 years tax return(putting all 3 years together) met above poverty line, you will be ok..You can actually use only one tax return as long as you met the above poverty line..For others, correct me if I'm wrong..I will use only 2007 for my affidavit of support for my petition because that's the only ITR that I have..Do you have your 2007 W-2 form now?If i was you, I will file my 2007 ITR now just in case they will ask for it...

In re: medical appointment - your wife can have her medical done at least 2-4 weeks before her interview. If she doesn't have a schedule (just the interview) on the packet 4, it will suffice. St. Lukes will let her have the medical. About your ITR, you can try your luck and let her use your 2005, 2006 and the recent one 2007 (even if it's below poverty line). But for your own peace of mind, make sure to have a co-sponsor as a backup.

Good luck!

We got the packet 4 while I was there. mayeth called the Embassy number and spoke to the lady. She said as long as Mayeth had the appointment letter (Take a copy...BTW!) she could jsut go. We went that week...4 weeks early. It took 2 days even though we went at 1PM, we had to come back at 1PM the next day for the immunization. If traveling, there are several hotels there in the area that are reasonable by US dollars. Also, take 3 Passport photos, and she will need a bag to carry everything in when she is done (x-rays mostly take up room). There are photo takers nearby and people who sell x-ray sized bags right out the door of the medical lab. The BPI bank needed to get the 157 form is 4 blocks away as well, next to Robinson's and Cherry Blossom's hotel
