Hamjambo brothers and sisters,

I recently got a "rushed" marriage certificate and am worried about wether or not it is filed properly. Does anyone know how they verify Tanzanian marriages? I am also 3 months pregnant so would like to expedite the visa process as much as possible (wish me luck!). I realize K-1 visas are slightly quicker... does anyone have any recommendations? Asante.

I do not know what a 'rushed' marriage certificate is but is they are not satisfied with it, they will tell you to get another one or put you on

Administrative processing ( AP ) to verify the certificate with the registrar. Try to get one required to avoid AP.

Ask the embassy if it is acceptable or not.

You can not expedite the visa because of pregnancy.

Just make sure all your documents and supporting evidence and relationship proof are in order.

K1 visas aren't quicker for married people so that's irrelevant. Was your marriage properly registered and filed? Does your certificate have a government stamp?
