Peru and Police certificates

saludos,

We are about to mail in the DS-230 and have some questions specific to the embajada en Lima.

1. Can/should husband get the three certificates now as we are still 3 months or more from the interview....I am worried that it won't be current enough if interview is in Aug/September... better to wait a month?

2. Do the certificates all have to be stamped and translated?

3. How much time does it take to get certificates?

You can get 2 of them in a week, one would take your husband 15 days (Antecedentes Judiciales a nivel nacional) he will go to get that one in INPE (Jr. Carabaya 456 – Cercado de Lima), Antecedentes Penales in Av Abancay cuadra 5, that will take 3 hours more less and Antecedentes Policiales (Av Arequipa, Ex-PIP), it will take 2 days. I would suggest to wait until you get NOA2, then your husband can start getting the certificates. I wish you good luck in your process. I hope the information helps.

Definately go with OLY suggestion on the time it takes and where to get the police certificates.

I will just add that they do not need to be translated.

many many thanks! exactly information that we were looking for!! We are nearing the end of our NVC phase of the process, are hoping for ma case complete within 2 weeks so looks like we should get started soon on these!!
