feel me, feel me...good.

watchin' channel 44 (speed racer, Isis, Shazaam, wonder woman, and space giants)

I was raised with the prostitutes watchin' me go to school in da mon'in, steppin' over da "wine heads"

and watchin' the cluckas (dope feinds) go thru "the D.T.'s"

The era when motown was hot and all the women were sporting afro's, the ones who didn't have enuf hair sportin' TWA's (teenie-weenie-afro's), and the cats wearin' pastel colored double knit polyesther jumpsuits, shootin' craps in da hall, sellin' a fat sack of $5 weed, while drankin' crown royal (and you know you gots to save the puple sack!)

all the while listening to Marlana Shaw singin' "run away little boy!",

dancin' to "freak out! Le freak, say Chic"

runnin' to da candy house (Big Momma'nem)

with a "7 dollar" book o' food stamps buying "penny candy" and "chili bags" 'cuz I was truly "hood rich"

I am truly my momma's "love child"

Uno'z monologue is over (bows and passes da mic) (F)

That Dolomite (Petey Wheatstraw the Devil's Son In Law) script you sporting ? Ohr is it be an epitate from the Mack, I no it can't be Shaft he is a (Bad mutha shut you mouth) but he don't spit script like what you just spit.

Destiny hales from (drum role) SOOOUUTH SiIDE off the 9, ran the streets of (hard knocks in Roseland) during my teen years.

Hanging out at the State Street show all day on Saturday sneaking into (I'll spit on Your Grave) , and then (Big Wheeing) at the Loop Rollerskate Rink on 95th Street. What bout "FUN TOWN" ya feel me.

I just wanted to say goodbye.

I have asked that the book thread be closed. I no longer am able to enjoy it, nor our forum due to the continued antagonizing and provocation.

It is my time to move on from here and I thank those who have helped me to laugh and get through this journey a lot easier. It has been an extremely tough journey for me and one that has lasted 3 years. Keep us in your prayers !

I wanted to rally together those who share a kindred spirit with the exchanging of our experiences but it was not meant to be.

The relentless antagonizing and provocation by one member in particular is no longer worth my time to focus on. I forgive her !

God bless you all with the best !

Salutations to you all.

every one here, or most every one claims "christianity" or higher power guidance. we all know what "sin" is, it is knowledge of right and still doing wrong. I am truly not trying to jugde or condemn. if you all take the time to read the verse I have posted below, maybe you all can correct your errors. (L)

Every thing is to be done with a "servants heart"

Romans 14:20-22 (New International Version)

20Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.

22So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves.

I am all that the Potter created me to be.

I celebrate, liberate and dedicate my life to His Glory.

I Am Uno!

Man! O, dont let her or anyone get to you, isnt there another way we can go over the book together? I was so looking forward to it, maybe once everyone has the book we can do this somewhere. Plus, we need to keep more people like you here, imagine if we were only left with those like that. We need more like you not less, please rethink this and let figure how we can go about it.

It took me some time to even start participating. destiny journey told me of the site last year. I lurked around and finally felt it was worthwhile omoba please do not go. You really give much inspiration. I love any one who has positive insight. So you have a purpose here. continue to fill it. We are all going through various challenges in life. Not just the visa journey but life it self. It is good when various people can come to the table all races and nationalities and voice their opinions. The most important thing is knowing what to digest and what not too.

I am not one who allows many into my inner circle. Somehow I do look forward to seeing the comments and you all have brought laughter to a dull life. Also many thoughts and ideas have been invoked whether I agree or disagree with them all.

So let us all take a deep breathe and float float on. Float with our SO's to loveland.:thumbs:

Hey I have an April Bday also

Toni

Health and Wellness to you always

May your life be filled with many colors.

Omoba

I think many of us have had "problems" with the ways these light-hearted threads have turned into personal attacks. I too have felt disrespected and misunderstood at times when posting on here. But when we are depending on only words to express ourselves, without the benefit of facial expressions, gestures, tone of voice, laughter etc...Its ones interpretation of our "words" only that can cause the misunderstanding. Plus we all have a different writing style, sense of humor and ways that we express ourselves.

Combine that with age differences, gender differences, race differences, cultural differences, educational differences, life experiences, upbringing and current stress in going thru this crazy journey...You got a boiling pot of hot emotion and opinions waiting to overflow!

I sincerely hope that you will reconsider because I feel your contributions are important and valuable. I too "lurked" here for awhile before participating, mainly because I wasnt sure if my opinions mattered to anyone. But sometimes you dont really know what affect you are having on other people until much later. I think many people have gotton a great deal out of your insights, viewpoints and experiences.

God Bless (L)
