Hey! morning guys! I've been a bit out of it and not quite posting as regularly. Having issues with my ex. I guess he's jealous after all. Not good! Oh well, just trusting in God. (and consulting a lawyer - mama didn't raise no fool!)

Bassi is going to take his written test today and he's beyond stressed. I'm so afraid he won't pass and then he'll be a sour puss all weekend. <_< It's cold up here. I think we're going to have a rough winter. Well, Bassi is very very very cold. We're all in light jackets. You know, the precursor to a coat. Well, he's under my down comforter ALREADY. This is going to be a HARD winter for my house. We're going to the mall to get him a jacket or probably a coat. Poor guy. I think he wants me to turn the heat on, but c'mon, do you know the price of oil? He's gonna have to layer for at least another month. I will just note, that Kay and I are not cold. We're quite comfortable with the fall weather and wearing our jackets when we're out late, but still sleeping in summer pjs. Poor Bassi.

When I read this I laughed so hard. I remember when my husband's plane landed in NE early '06, all he had on was a thin pair of running pants, you know the ones that make a lot of noise when you walk, t(he annoying ones), a light shirt, and a light jacket. What was priceless was the look on his face once he was outside of the airport! Instant shock! I said to him before he left Nja, it's cold here, be sure to get a coat, he said don't worry, I have one. Once home, he got under about 5 blankets , never took his hat off, and pulled those blankets all the way up to his eyeballs! It was hilarious. NOW he knows what cold is.

Wow Z! Sounds like you've had your plate full for a little bit.

Inusah and I are going shopping this weekend to get him some warmer clothes. He hasn't complained about the cold even though he has noticed that it is getting cooler. This is my ideal weather so I am all for opening windows and such. Inusah has not seemed to mind it (so far).

As for the driving test ( <_< ) I have asked Inusah when he is going to take it and he keeps saying that he wants to take it only once. I'm like, you can take it as many times as you want, you don't have to make an appointment or pay for it. But he says that he is only going to take it once. He has been studying the manual for a month, and its not liek he doesn't know how to drive. I would just like to get this part over with . Well, the longer he procrastinates, the less I have to pay in auto insurance

Bassi finds driving in the US overwhelming. He feels that we drive too fast and that there are so many signs to read that he's surprised people don't crash. I think it will just take him time to get accustomed to it, because I thought driving in Ghana was insane. He will only drive our car if it's late at night and no one else is on the road. So, I've been patient and not pushed him. It's best anyway because I'm a control freak about the car. With my ex husband, I road in the back of the minivan cause otherwise, I was insane. I've even been known to grab the steering wheel from the passenger seat. My friend Steven won't let me ride up front with him at all! Unfortunately, I've raised a miniature me, so she sits behind Baba Bassi when he's driving and says, The speed limit is 45. You're going to fast, S-L-O-W D-O-W-N. So, now you know why his nerves are frayed.

HEE HEE this sounds all to familiar to me. Justice arrive in February so it was already cold and snowy when he got here. (Colorado) He loves the snow!! Crazy man! At first he was cold but I was more worried than he was. He adjusted to the weather just fine. Although he did comment yesterday the crazy weather that the US has and how dangerous it can be. I dont think he has ever seen storms like we have here before. AH driving......we drove each other a little crazy me making him nervous.... him scaring the holy ####### out of me  he studied like a mad man for his test, he too only wanted to take it one time. Which he did and then went on to get his CDL on the first try too! Good luck ladies, I pray for patience for you two :D

My husband is already complaining that it is cold here.....yeah, right. It went down into the low 60's and high 50's and he is in the house all bundled up asking for gloves and a scarf.

Good Morning , Subs and Subettes !

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Omoba,

I'm asking you openly to please just press ignore on my postings.

You must stop defaming my character as you know nothing about me.

I don't bother you or your postings and I expect the same respect

from you on this open forum.

I feel as tho your trying to build up a crusade of " LET'S GET IDOCARE " audience.

Even tho I may not like what you say, I don't come on your site causing

division. Let's just respect each others right to post. Thanks in Advance.

Idocare

Idocare,

You are right I don't know you. I do know some things about you. I respond to threads because it is a public forum and

reserve my right to disagree with your opinion.

I have known your postings to be defaming to Africans and especially to Nigeria due to the ending of your marriage to Victor.

I have taken issue with your negativity in these forums, yes, and countered it with a what I feel fair assessment of

Nigeria and Nigerians. This is an immigration board for couples with foreign SO's to come together. Your bitterness issues against Nigerians were disturbing and offensive to many, not just me.

I do not wish to ignore your posts at this time but continue to voice my own opinion.

You say you have not bothered me or my postings. Not correct, you have freely responded to my posts in the past and

you have stated publicly that my fiance and I will not succeed in our relationship. That was personal. It defamed him and me. It was disrespectful and not cool.

Despite all that, I have even offered you an apology for you taking offense in general because of my opposing opinion. You did not respond to that apology.

I do not want to defame you as a person but I disagree with your opinion. There is a difference. I am sorry you see my posts as defaming you as a person.

I do respect everyone's right to post.

Please honor my freedom to do the same. If we disagree then we disagree and that is all. People disagree, such is life.

I have never called you names or violated TOS in my posts countering your opinions with my own perspective.

If you have further issue with me you can pm me at any time. If I have offended you in anything specific say so, I am not too big to apologize. I have stayed within TOS. I have asked you in the past to keep the revenge posts and deportation rallys to the "effects and changes " section. That did not happen. You have stepped down from the previous level you were on I do admit that much, however, subtle Nigerian prejudice still creeps into your posts to which I have a right to freely respond. I will do so respectfully.

Thank you.

We are all adults here and can make our own judgments. I see no Idocare crusade, it just so happens that people don't agree or take offense with what Idocare has to say, not just Omoba. People are going to disagree with each other, such is life. Omoba has given an open apology and it was ignored. Idocare has said on multiple occasions that she will not be silenced, and yet she is expecting silence from others who don't agree with her. Idocare the ignore feature works both ways, but I am guessing that you know that since you "ignored" Omobas apology.

I have ties to Africa that Omoba and Nagishkaw will NEVER have!!! My last posting that Omoba and

others have choosen to sprew a rebuking too was not written by me but by a person that bares a

African name yet even a newbie was able to read the article and find nothing wrong with it being

posted.

Defamation of character is illegal and won't be tolerated !!! Please accept this post as a warning.

It was my forefathers that lived on the soil of Africa and as long as I stay within the TOS I have the

FREEDOM

to share. Your constant thrashing and susgestive writing as to my character and professing to know

anything other then what I've shared with this board will not be tolerated.(Omoba)

I'm not running for any political position, but can clearly feel Obama's frustration, however; like

Obama I will deal with those that like to spread diease and division at my expense, expose their

behavior and keep being/doing me. Your efforts to distort my postings must stop.

What, Nagishkaw,

I see you trying to take a stance but what's your reasoning for your statement? You don't even

know me nor I you. What are you fishing for with that remark? What are you trying to prove

amongst us VJ members?

Hello everyone :D ,

It has been raining all day long here in good ole Iowa :P .

I noticed it around 4 am this morning and it has been relentlessly POURING down  .

To Stevii, I thank you for your outward prayers to me  .

I've been busy :bonk::crying::ranting::idea::clock::cry: making funeral arrangements for my grandmother (reference UNOz rain) and today was the culmination of it all.

I am emotionally :dead: and have been financially siphened  by it all, but God is true to his word, joy comes in the morning :star: .

I'll just be glad when my MORNING sun arises.

Through it all, I have been  and some of the posts have really been enlightening as well as....

(OMG, I'm having a brain fart). I'll finish that statement later.

But anyway, just know that I have been :reading: and  ...silently.

To everyone else, congratulations on your accomplishments and to everyone; GOD BLESS.

(F)

I am all that the Potter created me to be.

I celebrate, liberate and dedicate my life to His Glory.

I Am Uno!

Every time I read one of your posts it looks like you are trying to start a fight. IDOCARE, what is wrong with you? I have been reading your posts about Victor this, and Nigerians that, since I joined in '05. It's been somewhat of a constant ( with a few breaks) of Nigerian bashing. You always seem to find something wrong. In the past, most of the time you would post something, wait for a response, and when it was getting heated, Sweet Tee would jump in and defend you on whatever level she felt was fit.

I know you knew that article would cause some level of controversy...hence you stating no other response. That's kindergarten logic. Throw a stone and say I don't want to talk about it.

Posting something written with an African's point of view means absolutely nothing to me. Europeans called Native Americans uncivilized, and heathens, but of course the natives taught them so much. So by whose standard is a person to judge, of course by their own personal experience, and biases.

And if you are so hypersensitive the ignore button does work both ways. My suggestion is that you get a grip, I had suggested in the past that you seek counseling, I can tell you didn't take my advise.

I didn't read any defamation, I did happen to notice that you pick and choose who you want to fight with.

I already know your response...I don't know you,......who are you to judge me. You wanna know something, for me to know you, and have the opinion of you that I have, that speaks volumes.

And Obama..you liken yourself to Obama?
