I used to take Ambien and had no side effects. Now I can sleep fine without any meds.

Insomnia can also be caused by a hormonal shift.

By the way good morning.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm red velvet cake is my fav!!

Good morning everyone. Sorry I've been missing for a bit. We had our wedding reception and I had visitors in my home. (not my all time favorite)

I took Ambien about 4 years ago. Got rid of my ex husband and most of my physical illnesses cleared up. (hospitalized four times in 2005) I was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. He and the issues that came with him was the stressor. I'm a lot healthier now. Oddly, I've already become accustomed to sleeping with Bassi next to me. When he's not there, it's harder to fall asleep. I've slept alone for 6 years. I thought it would be hard to go back to sharing my bed. But I was obviously wrong.

Hey Zainab good to see you back. I bet your reception was beautiful and fun . Missed you !

Thanks! I had a great time. Bassi did too, but he was definitely overwhelmed. Now he knows how I felt in Ghana. At least he speaks the language. He did have to deal with all the different accents though.

Wow, sorry to see so many people are fighting insomnia around here. :( I really do pity you all. I HAVE TO HAVE MY SLEEP and I will even hurt someone for waking me up prematurely, lol. I just couldn't imagine being awake all night each day. I hope each of you find ways to get some relief. (F)

I was talking to Joseph today , last week he was travelling to his village and back and I guess the bus he was in had a tire blow out and several people died. He says he is ok because he was sitting towards the back , just a bad cut on his leg. I will be so glad when this is over and I don't have to worry about the bad connections for calls and all that other stuff. To think I was so close to having a really terrible end to the journey. I am just glad God was looking over him.

:o Thank goodness he wasn't badly injured. (F)

I am sorry that you had to experience such a helpless feeling being so far from Joseph. It is such a blessing that he survived unscathed.

I am amazed by the roads there in Nigeria. With "pot holes" the size of moon craters, and no traffic protocol, this will continue to be a problem. I pray that things get better there in this respect.

Girl, yes...those "pot holes" (more like pot craters) are NO JOKE! A lot of people here are sending big new cars back to Liberia and there is no way in the world I would send a car there until all of the roads are rebuilt. Do you know how much damage those roads can do to a poor car? I was driving in Liberia and it made my head hurt...way too much concentration while trying to swerve around those craters in the road.
