I have a question for you ladies. Men can chime in as well. How would you feel about your spouse/fiance having female friends? Would you allow it or not and why?

Oh dear...that is a loaded question.....

Yes, I remember we had a thread about this a few months ago. It was quite a long one if I remember correctly.

I was married previously for many years, and my late husband had much difficulty with this. Most of my friends WERE men prior to our relationship, because I have always connected better with them on a platonic level.

Once I got married, I had to put my husband first. Most of my male friends understood, but unless they were willing to accept our friendship as a "packag deal," I had to back away. It was easier said than done.

I agree with you, I had at least two friends of the opposite sex that I kept around one was my mechanic( he would work on my car and he also did little odds and in things around the house for me. The other was my good friend from Sierra Leone, we have been friends for years. He knows them both and he calls them both also from time to time.

Currently both of us have friends of the opposite sex, some mutual, some not. As long as we both behave appropriately, I don't see a reason not to.

If it is truly platonic and he had those female friends before then I see no problem with it.

I believe it is good to have an agreement to introduce opposite gender friends to each other.

My guy friends have either talked to, IM'ed or emailed with my fiance.

If new friends pop up I would definitely ask why who when what and dig a little deeper.

HI YALL!!!

TBT in the house!!!

Cute smilie!!

Booker and I both have friends of the opposite sex. We are both cool with the idea (mostly) as long as we introduce the friend to each other. We both have friends of the opposite sex who we were friends with before we met and we are okay with each other still talking to them. There have been a few instances of jealousy, but it is pretty rare.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
