Here's the thing. If Barack can be made to lose in the Democratic primary by insinuating he's actually a Muslim, then he'll be torn to shreds in the general anyway. Because, as we all know, the Democratic party is where all the enlightened folk hang out, the bias is all on the other side.

I never thought to put that there because the issue is only out there (in the first place) to influence what people believe. Beliefs often have no foundation in truth.

Well, the question doesn't distinguish between not trusting him because of the fact that he is Muslim and not trusting him because he's lying about being Muslim.

ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran. Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegience nor will he show any reverence for our flag.

While others place their hands over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own !!!!

Yeah I thought of that later when I started seeing the responses. Flawed poll. Sorry.

I think I went too far in trying to not make the poll 'inflammatory'. Maybe I should have been more direct with my questions.

My mom got this forward too from some people she knows.

I think it's ridiculous (so did she). I am not planning on voting for Obama but I also don't believe he is secretly a Muslim or has some hidden plan. He says he is a Christian, although I don't think of him as a very religious Christian. They all say they are Christians but it usually doesn't mean a lot unless they talk more detailed about it like Huckabee does.

I've been reading how the 'allegation' of the candidate being a Muslim is being used against him. It reminds me a bit of the 'furor' over Kennedy being catholic.

I thought I'd start this poll to see if the issue really matters to most people.

The poll is multiple choice.

Can't vote.

These options:

It only concerns me if they are non-christian.

I believe Obama when he says he is Christian.

Religion does affect my vote. I want a candidate's moral compass to look the most like mine, and the more influenced by religion, the less I can relate, IMO.

It might be wishful thinking that I think Obama is atheist, but I'm going to keep hoping.
