I knew there was something else...The NOA2, is that what is needed for my future husband to be able to come over to the US? And how long after it is given will he be able to come over if that is the case? AND..lol..if he is in the middle of the sale of his house here in the UK when it goes through, how long after it has gone through does he have to go over to the US? Meaning...is there a time frame from which the NOA2 is given and he is told that he can go that it expires?? Thanks again..

PS...I have tried to upload a pic of my wonderful soon to be hubby and I but I seem to have some problems. Can anyone help me on this please?? TA!!

the NOA2 is just another step in the process. First you send in your papers and then you should receive NOA1 meaning that you are now in the system. Once the Center reaches applciations dated around your time then they will closely review all information. If all is correct you will receive NOA2. This means your papers are going to NSC National Service Center in preparation to be sent to the Consulate. After the Consulate gets it then you have your interview, medical and hopefully get a visa.

Hiya Laura

Take a look at my timeline (signature) these are the steps after approval(NOA2)...your petition will be sent to NVC national visa center, they will issue your petition with a NVC case #, it will begin with LND,I know your in England with Ian, so when you know your case is approved at VSC, call the NVC 603-334-0700, to find out what your case number is, give em a week then call!!then you will have papers sent to you to be filled out & returned, Ian will have to fill out a DS-3032 agent form, this just makes you his agent, i think some people have emailed this to NVC when the time is right!!....you will get the AOS bill $70 round the same time, then you will get the I-864 afidavit of support!!,& IV bill $380, Ian will get the DS-230!! after all processing is dont & you get case complete at NVC they will forward your petition to London, Ian will need to have a medical once London has the papers you will beable to keep emailing the Embassy to find out when Ian's interview date is!!

Good Luck

oooo thank you for that Euro...we were going to go for the CR-1, but have changed our minds after seeing that the processing times are still stuck on Dec.6th. If it didn't take so long just to have them start the process then it wouldnt be so bad eh? It really gets me down sometimes when I read how long couples have been a part. I feel so bad for everyone. Darn that US GOVERNMENT lol..

Hi Euro,

We recently received our NOA2 and I am hoping to get a jump on the NVC requirements. I have downloaded the I-864 and will start preparing that form and associated paperwork but can not find DS-3032 on the USCIS or Department of State website. Do you know where this is available?

Thank you,

Jim

basically you don't wait for the paperwork to arrive from NVC but self-generate them as soon as the NVC status info tells you in waht generated.

I myself didn't do it.

Edit: I was replyng to the poster before me, who wanted to know where to find DS3032!
