Exact cost for the whole AOS process

HI ,

Just trying to get an approximation ..............what wd be cost for aos and etc for someone who is applying for AOS from B1/B2 visa ?? All i learnt is

AOS costs 1010$/person ( AP and EAD are included )

Medical - $200

Also does the EAD comes before the AOS interview ????

ANy other costs involved ???

You will also have the I-130 fees

Correct add $355.

You need to file I-130 along with the I-485 because I-485 needs something to adjust from, you cannot directly adjust from a visitors visa. You adjust based on the attached I-130 checking off "A" on the I-485.

The I-765 for EAD is based on the I-485 so code (c )(9 ) EAD May arrive before AOS interview EAD takes up to 90 days to get. If AOS is approved before EAD then no EAD will be issued, Green-card is also EAD

My wife got her EAD a month after she received her greencard! Useless but apparrently USCIS doesn't check their records very well before issuing an EAD.
