Just wondering is there any Malaysian around here?

Will be sending our I-130 package tomorrow (K3) and would like to know expected timeline for Malaysian who has gone through this process. B)

Nice to know that there are Malaysian around here. My husband will mail our package tomorrow and we are keeping our fingers crossed. Hoping to get in done within 6-8 months time. We know people who made it within 6-8 months.

My friend only took about 4 months to get her K1 visa.

Ooooh, I am actually living in Ampang too but I work in KL. My fiance is from North Carolina. :luv:

We have just received our NoA 2 for our K1 petition on Chinese New Year but now I am stressing out about my police clearances especially the Colombian one where I lived for 26 months. I am still waiting to hear from the embassy and the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs about my request and if they decide to proceed to issue me the certificate, it is going to take 3 months at least! :crying:

Anyways, all I could do now is wait and pray! And will pray for you guys too :star:

Hi, great to know you guys are in similar process.

I live in Malacca and hubby is back in Illinois.

We are currently gathering documents and forms to file I-130. Seeing that it's going to be a long way to go, I plan to visit early May or late April with the B1 visitor visa that I already have. Then come home before the I-94 expires or before the interview at the consulate, whichever comes first. We have been separated way too long !!

I planned to do that too. Hubby will be coming down for a vacation in April and we will fly back to Portland together. When do you plan to submit your I-130? Are you filling for K3 or IR1/CR1?
