I saw on VJ where you can go to the embassy website and check to see if your case has been assigned an Interview date. However, when I get there there is two sections....One for Non i mmigrant visa and one for immigrant visa. I was pretty sure we were non immigrant until after the AOS. But when I click on check your status for NIV it ask for case number. The problem is it askd for a 12 digit numeric case number.... letters are not allowed. We have 3 Letters and 10 numbers. I have put it in every way I can think of and it eithers tells us the case cannot be found make sure we entered it correctly or that we need to enter it in the proper format. So after so much trouble I decided to look at the Interview Schedule for the immigrant visa and unfortunately it has not been updated since 31 December 2007. So which am I suppose to be looking at? If it is the non immigrant visa one how do I enter my case number? Or do I get another case number later? I thought once you got the CRO Number from the embassy that is the one you keep. Anyway, any help will be appreciated from those of you who check your case status for an Interview date on the site.

Thanks,

Cheryl

Not all embassies/consulates have a website for interviews. From what you described it sounds like Cairo does but someone who has been through Cairo can probably give you a more solid answer :)

Correct, Manila does, but most do not have this info on-line.

US Citizen can call DOS and check consulate status and can get interview dates when the consulate posts them.

DOS Visa services.

Go to Cairo USA Embassy Website and then click on Immigrant Visa then you will see INterview schedules, click on that and scroll down, you will see alot of DV interviews for diversity and you will also see K3 visa scheduled too, so this must be for all interviews. Look to the right and then find your case number.
