its been raining on top of the snow since about 8:00 am, and everything will probably be a slick sheet of ice by the end of the day if the temperature falls any more.

I'm off work today btw. Everything is closed. Would be nicer though if I was still getting paid :P

Oh that was a hilarious video! We've never had snow that deep down here. The first time Anna or I had seen snow deeper than a couple inches was when we flew up to see Joel in February 2006.

That video was taken in Colorado a few years ago. Yeah, that dog was having a wonderful time. I worried about her suffocating too but I guess the snow was light enough still.

Well, we had snow last night but it started to rain around 10 pm and by morning all of the snow was gone. I am glad that the temperature warmed up though - it would have been a nightmare for Joe to drive into Atlanta if the weather had turned colder and everything frozen.

Looks like Joel and Anna were having a lot of fun with the snow, Karen!

Joel was loving it...I guess it was a taste of home for him and a rare treat for Anna. Methinks we'll be in school tomorrow, much to Anna's chagrin. Oh well, I have a training class tomorrow so I sorta have a day off...a day off from the classroom. Weather Underground is calling for an 80% chance of snow on Saturday. *looks hopeful*

eau xplain...love the photos! The colours of the plants against the snow...wow! :)

OMG! That video was HILARIOUS!!!!

Your puppy looks like she's swimming!! Making tunnels all through the snow.

She must have been exhausted!!!

Thanks for sharing it!

RIP Bailey! :(

I felt exactly the same way. It made me homesick for my cottage in Northern Ontario. Looked just like it. And for the dogs I used to pet-sit and/or visit with. :( I have this picture of one of the snowmobile trails after a snowfall as my wallpaper (on my computer) to remind me. But I get a pang of homesickness whenever I see it. :(

My fiance and friends in Georgia texted me yesterday... they were soooo excited that it was snowing! My fiance, Eric, got sent home from work early because it was snowing. Eric sent me a pic of the snow.. and I laughed when I saw what he considers snow to be! He couldn't last in Canada for one winter! LOL

Makes me look forward to being in Georgia during winter :-)
