Weather is not too bad where I am on the coast - a bit windy and heavy rain on and off but nothing too dramatic, although I understand that it's supposed to get rough again tonight.

Settling into married life

Waiting on the EAD, AP, and AOS

Welcome back! I was wondering where you were!

The Bahamas - how lovely for you! I am so envious!!! We enjoyed getting over a foot of snow dumped on us this weekend! My back still aches from the shoveling!

We also finally put together most of Griff's AOS packet this weekend!!! Should be mailing it off tomorrow! Yay!!!

It's a bit of a thud back to earth now that I'm back in the frozen North -- not as bad as you have it Julez! Just a bit of a chill in the air. I had forgotten how long it takes for spring to, well, spring in the Northeast. I am SOOOOO looking forward to moving to California in a couple of months -- no more New England winters!

ok to say I'm jealous is a massive understatement.

Really dull and wet in west scotland but nothing too horrendous. As long as GLA, DUB, ORD and OMA airports are operations as normal on wednesday I'll be happy, well as happy as possible given my fear of flying!!!! Anyways...back to packing.

Debz - are you really off in 2 days??? Wow... seems like just yesterday you started out here on VJ!

Sorry to stoke up any jealousy... Does it make it feel better if I tell you this was my first holiday since my month-long visit to America to get married, which was Christmas 2006? Even that wasn't strictly a holiday as I was dealing with all sorts of family drama and we were pretty constantly with at least one member of both our families at all times except when we were in bed or in the bathroom!

The whole moving to America/green card thing last year pretty much cancelled out all my holiday for 2007.

I don't think anyone here begrudges you your vacation, maven. We're just jealous that you felt the warmth of the sun so recently! I don't want hot weather, just warm. I'm tired of always wearing a heavy coat.

Yay! I don't want anyone thinking I'm either 1) bragging about going away or 2) feel I'm put upon. Julez -- you would have LOVED it there! Met a nice couple from Buffalo in the airport going home -- they were so sad to be returning to their heavy coats too.

Plan for 2009: UK VJ meetup in the Bahamas!!!

Oooh - what part of Bristol?! I'm in Winterbourne, about seven miles north of the city - no-one has ever heard of it even if they are local

 Just come back from Hawaii so I am not going to begrudge you the Bahamas  What part of Cali you moving to? You'll be closer to me then! Of course that may not be a good thing

Meet in the Bahamas sounds wonderful - we are having a July Filer meet sometime in the Fall potentially in Vegas this year so next year definitely sounds like a winner :D

We're moving to LA in early May. Not sure where exactly yet -- we'll be going out without all our stuff/junk and find someplace, then we'll have our stuff shipped out to us when we've found the right place. After doing a transatlantic move, this is not so scary!

I am SO on for a Vegas meetup if you'll let me in...
