The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

ooooo it's heating up.....2F now. 50% chance of snow tomorrow. Jeeeeeez I'm cold. Decided I needed warm comfort food tonight so made a HUGE dish of macaroni. Will feed me and Nick for a couple of days.

05/31/2008 - WEDDING

07/31/2008 - AOS and EAD finally mailed

08/02/2008 - Delivered

08/08/2008 - Check cleared

08/11/2008 - NOA1's for AOS and EAD recieved (reciept date 08/07/2008)

08/16/2008 - Biometrics letter recieved

09/09/2008 - Biometrics at 1pm, Omaha

09/26/2008 - AOS transferred to CSC

09/29/2008 - AOS touched (took out envelope at CSC and put in new pile)

10/03/2008 - AOS touched (probably that RFE coming soon!!!!)

10/06/2008 - AOS touched AGAIN!!! (surely it's an RFE)

10/15/2008 - EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!YEY!!!

whaddya mean it's not winter yet??? Winter starts in November, everyone knows that!

That's what I thought - I was reading about the rain in the local news (yes - it makes the news here being a desert!) and it said something about it not being winter and I was like #######?????

As for complaining - I am loving it :D The rain has stopped now and it is just over 50f. There is a beautiful snowfall on the mountains and we have the heater on when it gets a little too chilly. I am reallllly appreciating the cooler weather and the steady rain that lasted all day yesterday was wonderful :)

The only snag is the fact I am sick *again* which is really getting old. Seems that every couple of weeks I get ill to the point that I can barely move... I was feeling all smug the day before yesterday as well because I had a cold and didn't feel like I was going to die. Then yesterday I could barely move. I think I am a bit better today but not great - it's all sinussy so my head feels like it is in a vice and I feel like I have two sharp pencils rammed up my nostrils. My throat feels like I have insect bites in it because it is so itchy and horrible... so yeah - not great!

The plus was that Jeremy was plying me with neat Jagermeister from about 2.30pm yesterday and it reallllly helped my throat... then I got drunk and passed out, although I lasted longer than I thought - til about 10pm. :D

I was sick on and off from December through to about April... just couldn't get better :(

USCIS has a lot to answer for ;)

in Australia, seasons start neatly on the first of the month (so summer starts on November 1), so the UK customs puzzled me as well! :lol:

Seriously. I can't touch the stuff. But,then, I don't really drink any hard liquor anymore. My closest exception to that rule is the occasional Bailey's nightcap.
